I know there are already a few threads here about what people are doing to prepare for Island Living and who they plan to play when the new pack comes out, but I'm curious what everyone's specific storylines for their chosen sims are. I've seen lots of people saying that they already have storylines worked out for their sims, and I'd love to hear them. Mine is this: One of my saves is Lilsimsie's save, and in it, Judith Ward is pregnant when you first start. I've been playing her on and off for a while, and her daughter is currently a toddler. As Judith isn't very family-oriented, she hired a live-in nanny to take care of her daughter while she works on her career and her own life. I was thinking of two storylines:1. The daughter runs away from home as a teenager to escape her distant and unloving mother. The nanny would join her, as she has raised the girl since she was a baby and isn't going to abandon her now.2. The nanny, realizing the kind of life the daughter would have if she were to be raised in a household with a mother who doesn't want her, essentially kidnaps her as a toddler and moves her to Sulani where she raises her as her own.I think I like the second one better, but I'll have to see once the pack comes out.How do you plan to move your sims to Sulani, and what will you do with them once they arrive?

Ooh, I'd go with option 2! I think it sounsd the most fun!I created a new sim, Keahi Uilani, who lives in San Myshuno and is an archeologist who's dating Venessa Jeong. He's going to 'return home' when Island Living comes out. I think Venessa's going to be the catalyst, like maybe she cheats on him or dumps him to go work in Windeburg or something. But he'll learn to love again in Sulani...

Island style is how I grew up. I spent my early years on Oahu, so I can't wait to have toddlers playing in the shallows just like I did as a small child. I downloaded the LilMsSam mod where my sims take their shoes off inside a house because wearing shoes inside just doesn't register in my mind (like the sign says "Mahalo for removin yo slippahs but no take mo' bettah ones when you leave). Had some ono poke, so I hope that turns out to be a recipe in Island Living. I am so thrilled for island life.I'd thought about sending my current legacy save heir to Sulani, but I decided to make a new save instead. Tossing around some ideas since I want hapa kids (being as I am one). Gotta involve a haole, but i'm not sure which direction I want to go in yet.

The name came up in randomizer, and it's the last name of one of my favorite authors (her books are basically Horatio Hornblower meets Pern) He's a clumsy, but creative bookworm who yearns to writes a novel, living in San Myshuno in the depths of winter. Hates the snow, poor thing. So a high school friend who became a conservationist on Sulani invited him to come stay with her and her boyfriend while he works on his book idea. He'll mooch off them for a while, get to love the island... fall in love with someone, and my new legacy can become kama'aina. He's definitely a haole (poor boy's better put on sunscreen or he's gonna turn red) so depending what lovely pre-made ladies living in Sulani I can choose from, I've got my hapa kiddos.

I plan on making my sim a mermaid and she falls in love with this actor with a bad reputation and has no respect for the land, so she is trying to show him how much he is hurting the island but also doesn't want to give up on him as she really does love him and how he can help prove things. He wouldn't listen until he meets up with one of the elements/ancestor. If they have children, I will have one to long to live a life in the city and to experience new things. They would like to travel.

Ooh, I'd go with option 2! I think it sounsd the most fun!

I created a new sim, Keahi Uilani, who lives in San Myshuno and is an archeologist who's dating Venessa Jeong. He's going to 'return home' when Island Living comes out. I think Venessa's going to be the catalyst, like maybe she cheats on him or dumps him to go work in Windeburg or something. But he'll learn to love again in Sulani...

Prehaps play as a mermaid and make the sim of your choice fall in love with you with your mermaid powers.

I like your ideas. Much more interesting than the storylines I play!

I have been playing the same multi-generational family for years. My latest main sim is a young adult daughter of two global superstars (an actress and a sports star). She’s just moved to San Myshuno and is working as a struggling painter. She’s just started a relationship with one of her father’s younger team mates who she met through him. I fear disaster is on the horizon for her though. To prepare for her to move to Sulani, I think I’ll have her marry her boyfriend only to have him perish on honeymoon. In grief, she’ll run away from her life in the city to the islands. I’m debating whether to use one of her boyfriend’s roommates as a Sulanian islander who moved to the city as a current best friend for her and her boyfriend, who will be her rock after her boyfriend dies. They may move there together with him helping her escape to the paradise of his childhood home where they’ll fall in love.

I’ve not planned a storyline before for an upcoming pack, but this one looks magical and I’m very exited about it.

This storyline sounds interesting. What is Jacob's true nature? What does he do that causes Maya to run? Why did she take Hunter with her? Given his personality, I doubt he was very pleasant to grow up with.

I think I probably will go with option 2. Not only does it seem more fun, but it will allow me to see how all the life stages can interact with the world and what they are capable of doing, which is something I am looking forward to learning more about. Unfortunately, it also means I can't play that save for the next two weeks. Luckily, I have plenty of others to choose from.

Poor Keahi. I think I'd have Vanessa cheat or otherwise end the relationship in a way that leaves them not on good terms and him in need of a change, otherwise why wouldn't he just go with her to Windenburg (or wherever she goes)?

I like this idea. I think having her boyfriend's roommate be an islander is a great idea. Not only will they be able to help each other grieve once they move, but he can help her acclimate to her new home on the islands he grew up on. It sounds like the makings of an adorable romance.
