I'm currently playing in my "Pleasantvire stories" neighborhood and it's time for Cassandra and Don to get married. As you will know, in The Sims 2, there was a chance that a Sim getting married could get "left at the altar". This is usually what happened to Cassandra when the player tried to marry her to Don Lothario. Mid-wedding, Don would hesitate and then run away, leaving Cassandra behind.I understand this could happen if one of the Sims had the romance aspiration or if the bride and groom didn't have a strong enough relationship.I'd like to replay this moment, but I don't think it's technically possible to "officially" do this in Ts4. Do you know if a sim can get cold feet mid-wedding (i.e. During the "get married" action at the altar)? Maybe the "get married" interaction is rejected if they don't have a high enough relationship? Otherwise, I guess I'll have to break the couple up during the wedding party but before they get married so that the party fails...

I am surprised she didn't die from that! Maybe you can try and lower the romance bar before the wedding, but I don't know if the call off wedding interaction is enabled for autonomous... I don't think so, a lot of interactions are not allowed for autonomous and this looks like one of them. You can call off before they exchange the vows by the way.

You can call off the wedding after beginning the ceremony/clicking on the wedding arch. While they're exchanging their vows and rings, you can click on the Sims and select the option "call off wedding".

That is great! Just what I wanted! It's a pity is not an autonomous action anymore but this will be more than enough to recreate Cassandra's story and also please the deviant player in me :p

Thanks for checking! It would be great if someone created a mod for that! It would introduce a "risk factor" when trying to force a marriage with a sim who fears commitment. Do you know how to enable it??

I do, but interactions in Sims 4 are ruled by a base score and an emotional score. This interaction have a 5 base score to appear (that's an high score from my observations of the other interactions) and a 0 score on all the emotional state. I tried to tweak other interactions in the past, but the result can be quite unpredictable when you turn on the autonomy so it's hard to test a mod for this purpose, because it seems like the emotional score rules the success percent of the interaction too. It can result, for example, in the impossibility to marry. I'll try when I have time to test it anyway. For instance I don't know a way to make so that only a sim with a certain trait have an high chance to refuse marriage, but I can make so that an angry, sad, or uncomfortable sim will always call off the wedding.

Well I tried to make so that the autonomy for the flirt interaction would only be enabled for flirty Sims, what I discovered is that tweaking the emotional score without tweaking the base score results in the autonomy enabled for all the emotional states but, if I backlist the interaction for the happy state (putting the score on a very high negative number as maxis does) Sims don't autonomous flirt when happy, but also refuse every attempt to flirt with them. I don't think the call off can fail, but I don't know what will happen if I backlist the interaction for the happy state and then try to call off the wedding with an happy sim. Not blacklisting the interaction can cause a mayhem but I'll see what happens.
