- Some of the lifestlyes can get way too powerful as well. +5 energized after a vacation for two days?

She would probably manage to stay awake for the whole two days as she remained in Very Energized for most of the time and I sent her to sleep pretty much only for realism.

I like the idea in default, but TS4 has a problem with way too many and way too strong positive buffs. This was also the case with TS3 (+75 happy from food, lol) so it's nothing new.
What that game would need is to make buffs decay in strength with time - for example, the +3 food buff wouldn't be +3 for 8 hours, but +3 for 2 hours, then +2 for next two hours, and +1 for the last two hours. Same with new kid/wedding - if it was +3 first day, +2 second day, +1 third day, that'd make more sense than 3-day +3. Decay over time.
And also to revise the strength. Many are +2 when +1 would be enough. It's way too easy to override any stray bad mood this way with little danger (as long as you don't get playful and die from laughter). - My only experience so far was horrible. My sim went to Uni and gave a tutor session there to complete Academic aspiration. Immediately after it she got "People's person" lifestyle. Though she's actually almost a loner. She was cramming in Uni and nether was friendly with another sims in the dorm. She has zero notifications about working towards lifestyle and then bam... "People's person". Then she immediately became sad about losing a friend but she had a very few to start with and all of them were still friends with her. And then I was receiving non-stop notifications that all her family members were receiving the very same lifestyle "People's person". I'm sorry how another uncontrolled household is supposed to receive them? I've tried to turn this thing off. I received notification that all current lifestyles will be deleted. Great. I've changed the settings, saved and in several minutes received notification that another one of my sims received "People's person" lifestyle...
In the end I have to roll back to backed-up version before lifestyle was received. Turn them off there and go on pretending nothing happened. I think this feature need even more tuning and testing than NAPS. Also I have a feeling the design is badly thought. Why no lifestyles connected to crafting/creativity/music??? Too bad I have to disable and dismiss a new feature showed as innovative and game-changing from the start. - Does anyone know what the hidden lifestyles are?

This sounds like a bug! I don't know why your family would be receiving the lifestyle when unplayed. However, People Person is by far the easiest one to get unfortunately. I really hope they decide to raise the amount of friends for a people person to have in order to receive it as a lifestyle. It's far too low now. I downloaded a mod to make it be 10 friends at least which makes sense. - pepperjax12305 years agoRising NoviceIs there a reason why the game thinks you are eating junk food when you eat quick meals in the lifestyles? I mean that is basically all he could eat and he was close to getting the junk food lifestyle.
- Since this an adult game.. we should be allowed way more options throughout the game. We should be able to have way more career and lifestyle options to make the game less boring even though we buy many expensive add one. The life styles should vary from stripping etc and also we should be able to smoke cigarettes and etc. I also this they should bring cars back. The color schemes should be like in previous games where you have the wheel color charts for variety of colors. For all the add ones we spend money on the contents of each pack should be re updated monthly because the same items over and over tends to be boring. We should have more food choices and things should be more animated so the games won’t get so boring. We should have more college choices and also more things that we can interact with. It’s also the block out contents when having sex or taking a bath for me, the blocker should be taken off... we’re not kids. We should also have way more options of things to do like threesomes etc and food choices should be updated constantly. We pay a lot of money for this game but get pg-13 graphics. It would also be more fun if things we buy our sims were like a catalog .. sorta like the imvu simulation games. It should also let us go online with our friends and new people so we can chat . I think we should be able to get our nails done also create nail salons & buy weaves or wigs. Those options also create new career fields. It’s basically like we pay so much money for so little content coming from an active fan from the sims first game, to sims 2, sims 3 etc.. any that’s came out. The game gets so boring after a while of playing because it’s nothing really fun to do. Should be more live like. Especially with the variety choices I think it would bring out the potential in the game. I have bought literally every add on but 3 but I feel I wasted my money for nothing. We should have bunk beds etc furniture choices in catalog point of view as well as all careers you should be able to go to work with your sims .

Actually, it's a 12+ game. The fact that 18+ mods exist doesn't make it an adult game on its own.
If it's possible to create custom lifestyles/sentiments with mods, I'd say it's inevitable for the big modders to get into this. And I wouldn't be surprised if that included the major 18+ mods.- as people have said here im thinking of turning lifestyles off the negative moods are too strong and i feel like im constantly having to play towards getting them off again, the good moodlets are great but it ends up being not very realistic if your sim constantly wants to go to work when its not her work hours :(
- My one Sim was constantly plus (3 or 5 I can't remember but high enough to be the lead emotion) tense because of a lifestyle slipping away. He was miserable for days before I started using ui cheats to delete the mood. That is insanely annoying. If it's slipping away it needs to happen faster, he was tense for a week at least. I might end up turning them off, I don't really care about them. Most just help with jobs and nothing else. Also most of my Sims end up with the indoorsy trait since there's really nothing to get my Sims out of the house for. ??♀️

well it started off as an adult game... not 12 plus. And mods only benefits computer based sims the ones on console don’t have mods. Which makes the game VERY BORING .
