Hello, hello! "GlacierSnow" from the old forum here. It is really weird trying to identify everyone with new names and no familiar faces. But I'm glad to see a lot of the community here.

I can't believe I've spent hours trying to change my EA ID and it seemed like EA forums are full of Kimmers because the account refused to update the name, all of the ones I tried were already taken. I almost threw my laptop out of the window. I'm still fuming... 🤬
Anyway, I'm here now with the new ID with the stupid "_one" added at the end of the name. I'm Kimmer from the old forum, nice to see everyone here. I'm probably mostly just lurking here because I have no idea how to follow posts and I can't find anything.
HelloKimmer_one 🙂 It is lovely to see you here. You can follow threads by pressing the little bell icon on the top right hand side of the page when you are viewing a thread. It will show a tick when you are following it.
Its super frustrating! I tried to change mine too. Already taken. Okay, try something else ...Oh can't use that because it contains a restricted word. What?! Why would Caramel or latte be a restricted word. Whatever, try something else ...already taken. That cycle continued a few times before I finally settled on what I have now. So annoying 🤬

I really wish we could all use our avatars. I realise now how much I relied on the avatars to recognise simmers. My memory is really bad, so there’s only relatively few I actually remember by name 🙁

It's Saturday the 20th of July 2024- 13 minutes before Midnight, IST. I'm observing the rising of an enormous orange moon . It's majestic. I can see its face. Is that a smile? I sure hope it is. Someone's having a party in the distance. I wasn't invited. Losers.
At the time of this writing I'm a Seasoned Adventurer. Seasoned is right. Like a BBQ Bison Burger. Specifically one that fell off the Burger dish, or whatever one calls those things, straight into the tall grass because someone forgot the mow the backyard.
In sober and simpler words- I still feel as lost on this forum as I did when I arrived here on Day 1. I'm trying to get good at this, but it's like a friggin' chore innit?

Hi everyone. I don't like this new forum, looks like a big jumble like Discord. Also, we need larger fonts for easy readability. I had to zoom page to 150%. We also need actual forum sections. Sorting topics by Most viewed and Most replies isn't helpful.
OK, let's see if I've figured out how to write my own reply. I think I've mastered replying to another member's post...
This forum is...different. I'm holding out hope that I'll become as comfortable using it as I was over at the "old place." I'm doing my best to be optimistic about that.
And, if any of us are thinking "I'm too old for this, and that's why it's tough to adjust," my daughter, barely a Teen, says "it's really awkward and it's not easy to follow." Z misses reading the "old" forum, too.

you'll also won't be able to read chronologically starting from the last post you read, to the newest post. So far it's only all the way from the beginning and spamming "show more", or all the way from the end and reading backwards in time in the main replies, which disregard nested replies
