Eh. They don't owe us anything, anniversary or not. I'm glad we get freebies. And there's never enough CAS and BB stuff (would anyone rather we got a surprise paid pack with stuff like that instead as a "present"?
Actually I would say they do owe us to listen to us and give us what we want, it's us who are paying good money for the packs, at least make the packs worth the money and not just nice to look at.
Also, the freebies are nice but they are really alot of recolours and rehashes of stuff that we have already bought in packs.
A lot of us have spent a fortune on this game, I know they never asked us to but surely it is not asking too much to make their customers happy."mock68;c-17218757" wrote:

Arguably they should have given us elements missing from the game, like the toddlers, basements and NPCs etc in order to make the base game the full life simulation experience that it should be. And they have done that. But I don’t think that we’re “owed” it exactly; that language seems far too entitled. They do owe us bug fixes and things like that, but not features or mechanics. No one is obligated to buy the game or any pack at full price after all.
They definitely don’t owe us free gifts, or they wouldn’t be gifts. It’s also unfair or inaccurate to call all their gifts merely recolours or rehashes. We have gotten plenty of nice new meshes and objects: every year there have been the holiday outfits for all ages, holiday decorations and lights, etc; we had the Caribbean set with outfits and objects including a new head wrap, a new fan, sliding doors etc, new make up, new recipes like the winter cake and roast (with better meshes than the coconut cake in IL), the Day of the Dead event with skulls, decor items and costumes, the Chinese New Year set, the Growfruit challenge with pots and a harvestable, the Pride set,, the saris and decor for Diwali, etc. Just because we only got one free hair style and some new swatches with the recent revamp doesn’t mean we should forget everything else excellent that we have ever gotten for free.
Like I said before, there have been more good quality free items and sets in TS4 than in other versions of the Sims. I think the gurus are very responsive to the community compared to other games: the reintroduction of toddlers after many complaints and the creation of game packs with family play (Parenthood), and supernatural lifestates (like Vampires and Witches) strongly implies they are listening to the community.- Can't wait to see what it is! I've enjoyed all the past free content. :)
- RememberJoySeasoned NoviceI always enjoy getting free things for my game. I hope we get a few more things for the off the grid lot trait we got this summer.

I have such a hard time with this forum....so much absolute negativity. I don't get it. So many people obviously don't like this game and don't enjoy it and they come on here and dump on it but.....it just doesn't make sense. I can see being disappointed about a couple things once in a while but to complain about EVERYTHING that's being done for this game? Time to find another game. Free content is coming and nearly everyone is complaining....like little children not getting what they want. Wow.
There's always going to be positive and negative feedback. Especially among a community with hardcore, passionate fans.- Fluteline24New Spectator

So agree. I was always taught to thank people for gifts - I still live by that rule. The fact someone made us a gift regardless of what it is I believe should be thanked. There is no rule they owed us anything and I will be happy and grateful for the new content."PlayerSinger2010;c-17219331" wrote:

Without feedback and criticism, products of any kind won't ever know how to improve. I don't think there should be any valid reason to hold back on what to say if a consumer doesn't like it.
With that being said, I don't vouch for ad hominem attacks or strawman arguments or even users purposely sabotaging a thread to have it derailed then closed. I see these from both sides and it doesn't help the developers skim through feedback.- ChadSims2Seasoned NoviceOh joy more "stuff" how about a trait overhaul, cars, L-shaped stairs, freed babies but no we get CAS I'm sure mostly for adult female & Build-Buy more empty content.
