More bugs? Grocery delivery stuck, never arriving

SO still not fixed since July. I guess the sarcastic comment in the threads about bugs then about "probably fixed by xmas" is a realistic estimate then.

At least it's one that is easily worked around - it's mostly annoying because you wouldn't know how to work around it unless you check the forum. I had the same experience - they fixed the Zoomer delivery, and I was saying, 'whoa, deliveries not fixed for me' until a helpful soul told me it was my private dwelling lot trait. I suspect that's also why I can't get the eco analyst to show up - I'll have to see if eliminating the lot trait will fix that bug, as well.

The Private Dwelling trait has a few unintended consequences. I used it in the hills of Del Sol Valley, had family over for a holiday, and all my visitors spawned a half mile down the road, with a toddler trying to toddle there on his own.

I know you’re used to playing in Sulani where the townies just barge right in. But I don’t see a need for that lot trait in HoB.

It's more that I felt it fitted the lot in question. I usually don't mind it in Sulani.

I ordered delivery once and the delivery person never showed up but I got a message that they couldn't find me, even though my sim was at home at the time, and left the food outside the door. They left it in the hallway near the elevators and my sim got it from there.

It also prevents the 'welcome wagon' from arriving when you move in. I don't ever want my Sims to interact with other Sims.

The thing is... the welcome wagon is one thing. Grocery deliveries should work like the mailcarrier; they show up every time despite the trait, so does repairmen. So it seems like a neglect / "we are the beta testers", as usual.

I've had a few times where the delivery hasn't arrived when playing in Henford with the Watson household. It worked every time when I played with Cecilia Kang. I suspect it might be a location issue as the Watson household seems to be farther away from everything.

I just don't bother using the delivery service, too effy. I used it once and no one showed up (I only use the private dwelling for loners) and once when it did work. I just don't rely on it.
