- Let me see, April, May, JUNE! Only three months away!
- I think the June date was pretty obvious by now what with update stuff. The main question now is what kind of pack it'll be. Hopefully we'll actually get some snippets of the recordings soon so we can make some guesses on what the pack will be.

- I hope its voice acting for an island paradise or romance expansion.

Yes but April starts the week after next.- Combined with the cutoff of 32-bit systems in June (with introduction of Legacy Edition that stops at Strangerville) it's looking likely we'll get something fairly big in late June or early July. I'm just finishing off the Strangerville storyline so I'll have some time to get back to normal play before the next pack drops.

There is a big difference between late June and early July. Late June is the end of a quarter which means EA can recognize the revenue from the pack as soon as June ends. Meanwhile early July is the beginning of a quarter and EA wouldn’t be able to recognize the revenue until September is over. They’re much more likely to release games at the end of a quarter rather than the beginning. There has never been a Sims expansion released in July for example. "elelunicy;c-17010999" wrote:

True, but they have said they are going to release 20 DLC during the fiscal year, and time is wasting if they don't start doing that and soon."Cinebar;c-17011781" wrote:

That isn’t what was said, and the fiscal year doesn’t start until April 1st. The exact wording was 20 content drops, not DLC, and they were speaking about the entire Sims lineup: PC/Mac, Console, Mobile, and Freeplay. EA has never, ever, released 20 DLC packs for the PC game in one year I don’t know why anyone would jump to the conclusion they for some reason would now.- Anmirla7 years agoSeasoned Ace

Actually, it's all DLC (down-loadable content). Freebies have to be downloaded too. ;)
