I, for one, am glad there are no apartments. I much prefer houses.
I wouldn't mind some apartments, rather than another unusable shell building. It even looks like there are fake apartment shells by the river.
I wish townies could live in those shell buildings and leave the buildable lots for playable sims."calaprfy;c-17709036" wrote:
They could have done a tribute to The Shining with this world.
I think that's what the empty lot at the top of the mountain is for. A nice, peaceful hotel to lose your mind into. I wonder if we can change it into a rental type lot and get to it from the phone travel interaction. I think a temple/inn would also work nicely on that lot, a place where sims could rest after the climb and also learn some meditation skills. - @AncientMuse really love your winter wonderland national park idea. Hope you'll share when it's done. ?

Unfortunately I won't be sharing my lots because I always build using a ton of cc and that makes it too much of a pain in the derriere to try to share my builds with other people (I always abide by cc creators' TOU policies), so I never bother to upload to the gallery. I don't think I've ever built anything without using moo and lots of cc.
But I promise to post lots of pics in the Snowy Escape builds thread so other simmers can grab some ideas for themselves if they want. :) "AncientMuse;c-17710518" wrote:

That'll be great. Can't wait to see it. ?- I was watching Plumbellas video and I'm very disappointed in the "modern" part of the world. The train station is fake and completely non functional (not even a rabbithole) and the entire "town centre" area is completely fake and non functional

Literally everything in these screenshots is completely unfunctional.
The train station is especially stupid, it's just a complete missed opportunity. It would've been perfect even if your sim just got onto the train to travel to the top of the mountain and that was it but instead it does absolutely nothing it's just set dressing. And with the town it would've made sense to have a little shop where you buy the vacation items like the toddler bed and potty rather than just ordering it by phone and it appears - crocobaura5 years agoLegend

Oh, that's such a disappointment. I saw someone on twitter asked Graham to make the ski shop into a rabbithole shop for skis and winter gear like they did with the shops in Batuu. I thought rabbit holes were bad but now EA proves they can get even worse ideas and add tons of decorative only shell buildings. - AquaGamer12125 years agoSeasoned Ace

People keep forgetting about the lot on the peak of the mountain that we can edit. Doesn’t seem to appear on the map which is weird.
Because it's like a hidden lot - you can only get there by climbing the mountain.
I know but you can still build there. Gryphi built a cabin there for those who reach the peak so they can rest and recharge before heading home. I think that’s genius honestly.
I might put a small Onsen there, depending on the lot size. The indoor hot springs, maybe a small kitchen or at least the low table plus a hot pot. And a room with beds for a comfortable sleep before heading back.
It looks to be 30x30 or 20x20. It’s a perfect square. But I can’t really get a feel for how big it is. - AquaGamer12125 years agoSeasoned Ace

The train station being fake is so dumb because they made the Gondola station clickable and they could have done the same for the train station.
For the town center it’s not completely useless as that’s where the youth festival is held but otherwise it’s probably really bare. - crocobaura5 years agoLegend

The festival is not there everyday. I think we should be able to add some useable objects there, to make the area usable on days when there is no festival.
