- There is already quite a bit of nice tea related CC out there; but I'm hopeful the new tea set in this pack will give modders more to work with. As a tea enthusiast in real life, I enjoy having more options for my sims to share this passion in game.

@Kironide Good news, there is a "Serve Tea to.." option in the pie menu for the new tea set, shared in another thread by @Simgirl1010"simgirl1010;c-18061553" wrote:
The serve to option is available on the poured cups of tea. Not the teapot.
This is excellent news ? What happens when you click the “Serve Tea to...” option? Does your sim hand a cup to another sim or do the other sim come and join your sim? Either would work for me, I’m just curious. "Greyling;c-18061634" wrote:

I've seen it in one of the reviews yesterday - your sim will go to other sim and offer him a cup. If a sim is in another room and/or floor your sim will make its way there. So if you do not want to break immersion you'll need to keep all sims around the tea tray.- somewhsome3 years agoSeasoned AceAs a huge tea-drinker, I'm glad it's coming, though I wish it was included in Snowy Escape or Cottage Living, not in this buggy mess of a pack. :/ I always hated Tea Magic Personal Brewer because I've never seen such a thing in real life. I even had a dream about an Electric Kettle Kit once, you can tell how desperate I am lol.

The Tea Magic Personal Brewer is a thing in real life, I have one!
It actually makes very, very good tea. You tell it the type of tea and what strength of tea that you want and it makes sure to get the water to the exact best temperature for that type of tea. The tea leaves don't go down into the water until it's the right temperature and then it steeps the tea for a length of time based on what you set for strength.. It's quite wonderful, actually and makes fabulous tea.
Here's a picture of the one I have:

That said, I'm also glad we're getting a functional tea set in the game. I've always wanted that. - KaraGaelford3 years agoSeasoned AceWooHoo!!!! (Homer Simpson WooHoo not Sim WoooHoo) You can knock me down with a feather and call me George... :p ! I take it all back and apologise profusely for my previous grouching. My Sims can finally be good hosts! Thank you for posting the news! @Stormkeep I'm so excited.
- somewhsome3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Stormkeep yeah, I know electric tea makers exist and are cool, but they look like normal kettles! Sims' tea brewer looks and works weird, it's like a combination of an electric water boiler (a thermo pot) and a teapot. Sims brew tea in the top part of the maker, but they pour it using the teapot. Why? It doesn't make any sense :D I know it's probably because it shares animations with coffee makers, and I know I'm petty, but eh.
- JaggidEdje3 years agoSeasoned AceYou're not petty, you are just passionate about tea so it matters to you! I fully respect that, @somewhsome.

Haha ? I also dislike unnecessary complicated/weird objects in the Sims (cupcake machine is the worst offender, of course, at least tea maker is not enormous!) "Elliandre;c-18058618" wrote:
To be fair, I think it was just because the Sim walked over and happened to be standing on the long side of the coffee table. I'm sure if he is on the couch or directly in front, or if the set is on a dining table or kitchen counter, he will be much closer to it haha. Maybe it will be better on the small, round table. I'm really excited for the tea set as well. I love how we are getting two different types and they both look so pretty.
Yes, I think it's a routing issue. In previous Sims, you'd end up with the Sim putting the tray somewhere inaccessible and then refusing to continue with the action.
