Nightmare Revisited With the Latest Content Patch!

I'm vexed beyond belief. I took the time to patch, twice in this last week. Mind you, I'm down to the use of only two mods. I'm frankly afraid to add anything more to my game, as it took three days to sort out the mess caused after the first patch of the week dropped. Oi! I did a game repair and then recalled the last time I had this problem, it required a Game Folder Refresh, but beyond that it also required I take my Sims (uploading each household into My Library and their lots) so that I could start them in a brand new game save. Up until the second patch we got this week, my game was functioning as it should. Here I am today, (I never played yesterday) to find myself confronting the very same problem I had managed to resolve!

My Sim wasn't notified he had a gig in about an hour, nor was I given a notification to Join. I glanced at the game clock to see it was 12:10 PM. The gig was set for Noon. :s The nightmare that was finally solved is BACK. I haven't even played this new save very long. Enough, please EA, either fix this problem or go home. Face/palm. I quit without saving to keep the gig, in which he has completed all three daily tasks, so isn't lost.

So, do I try again to see what happens, or do I go straight into Game Folder Refresh and place all the families into a Brand New Game save? So glad now I didn't take the precious gameplay time to place concert venues and such, since it was all for naught.
