I got my Sims all settled around the TV for New Year's Eve and had them "watch the New Years Channel" thinking it was the Countdown, but it never fulfilled the requirement to watch the Countdown. I was checking all along to see if there was a Countdown option as well, but there never was. Is this a bug? sd

Yes, the New Year's Programming switches to a Countdown after 11 pm at night. So you have to watch it in that 1 hour period before midnight -- a nicely realistic detail!

This happened to me too. I kept clicking on the TV even after midnight and the option popped up at around 1 am.

I'm pretty sure the tv will switch to count down no matter what channel my sims were watching? Might be some sim who switched channels, but I normally take no action to make it happen :smiley:

I had this issue once. My sims got hungry around 10:30pm and stopped watching and had some food. Even though it was not midnight, the sims did not start the countdown again and the tradition was not fulfilled.

It only says that before the countdown begins. From 11pm to midnight, a new interaction appears and that's when you click the TV to watch the countdown.

If this is a bug and it happens to me I'm just going to not save and try again cause I'll be taking pictures of my sims celebrating New Year's Eve especially with Seasons. If it's a bug maybe it will get fixed in the July Update. Seasons seems to have a lot of bugs even more so then Cats and Dogs sadly.

This is what I ended up doing, because I wanted them to do all of the actions and it showed up the next time. So I think it must be a bug.
