Old Simmer back with questions

Game Packs and Stuff Packs are essentially the replacement for the TS3 Store, so there is no store for TS4 and points from TS3's store can't be used for TS4.

In regards of game packs in relation to expansion and stuff packs, theyre smaller than expansion packs, and larger than stuff packs, offering more items than a stuff pack and a gameplay item, and then offering less than an expansion pack.

Game Packs are a new thing to the series and are like an in-between of a stuff pack and a full on expansion. They generally have a theme with objects around said theme, but add much more gameplay to it. For example, Outdoor Retreat is all about camping, herbalism, and the great outdoors.

There is no Sims 4 store, the numerous stuff packs possibly acting as such now.

Sims 3 points can't be used for Sims 4 purchases.

GPs are a smaller condensed version of EPs. They focus on one theme. And have more animation objects. While the SPs also focus on one theme, it's more like just one room and only come with a few build/buy objects and maybe 2 or 3 CAS objects. The GPs basically took the place of the Sims 3 store. And no, you can't use points for any Sims 4 purchases.

Thanks y'all! That's such a disappointment about the store. Guess I'll get used to it. Might as well embrace change as the only thing that doesn't change is the fact that everything is always changing!

I'm sitting on 6300 SimPoints myself. It would be cool to trade them in for Sims 4 stuff, since it's highly unlikely I'll ever go back to Sims 3.

Hope you like the gallery though. I enjoy it far more than the TS3 store for "new" content. The community is pretty creative with the tools we are given. I saw a boat restaurant yesterday that blew my mind.

Also, the concept of GP's aren't too bad.

Like let's look at get together an EP versus Outdoor retreat a GP

GT added a whole new neighborhood, awesome community lots, dj and dancing skills, clubs, excellent community lots, tons of cas and build/buy items. Offered a variety of different gameplay.

OR added a mini vacation world focused around the one theme of camping, added herbalism, and a handful of cas and buy items. The new gameplay was just focused around the one theme.

You are never to old to play the sims. the Sims was given to me by my granddaughter when it first came out and I am still hooked.
I am now the great grandmother of 3 with the oldest being a 12 yr old Great Granddaughter. So you see you are never to old.
I did give my Sims 2 to one of my granddaughters when Sims 3 came out, But I missed it and got it again. I am not sure if I will be here for Sims 5, so I am enjoying the sims4 while I am still here.
It is possible I might be here for Sims 5, but I might not have enough brains to play, or maybe it won't matter to the sims LOL :)

Well, welcome back to the sims community! you'r enever too old, I play the sims with my mom and my sisters, and my mom is near her fifties hehe, I love it! so just concentrate in having fun and make sure to ask about any qerid things you don't get yet about the new games, although the sims 4 is very similar to the sims 2 in a few aspects so you won't have trouble at all! And I'd recommend to take advantage of the game packs, they add lots of fun and stuff!
