Opinion on Werewolf Tails?

I remember reading about how they chose against tails because of clipping issues and was unsure of how I felt about it. However, after finally seeing the back of an unclothed werewolf I realized I very much wished we had the option instead. Clipping by no means is ideal, but I think most people have played a game with a character creator where some of the physics and clothing gets a little weird when you are heavy handed with those sliders. I certainly have, so rather than cutting them completely I wish they would have been default no tail with the option to add one.

I suspect a more middle ground would be a sort of docked tail that is short but still looks like something, although I think I really just want the full fluffy, husky tail on all of mine.

But what about everyone else? Would you have preferred clipping tails or is no tail more your style?

    It doesn't sound impossible to apply something so that they would have removed the tail when they were sitting down and apply it back when they are standing. Kinda like how mermaids work when they swim in the water.

    It seems they decided to let these werewolves wear clothes a lot though so maybe that's why there are no tails, maybe that would have clipped a bit too much with them wearing clothes.

    Edit: I guess a normal tail would have worked too with this solution, nevertheless, they probably decided for this solution so that they would look better wearing clothes.

    Give me full tails. In a game where sims walk through doors, furniture, or even each other, I'm not going to worry about clipping when they sit or wear clothes.

    They could add them as accessories. I think they looked unfinished or maimed without the tails.

    I figured if they did add them it would be a selection screen in the body category, kind of like pets. In fact, they could probably recycle the dog tails.

    However, they could be accessories kind of like nails, too.

    mmh idk i kinda wish we had tails but also the clipping would have driven me mad

    i think i mostly miss seeing it when they run on all fours but idk otherwise i don't really spend so much time looking at my sims bottoms and even just having stub there does imply there once was a tail so thats good by me maybe evolution got rid of their tails or maybe it was evil spellcaster who knows

    Why not all three as options from which to choose in the game? They could be no-tail or docked tail by default, but it would be nice if there were a couple of varieties of longer and bushier tails we could choose if we don't mind some clipping.

    It would be wonderful if they could animate them too, but I don't dare dream that much. :lol: A werewolf with a wagging tail would be cute though.

    It doesn't really matter to me. I'm not interested of their tails, I probably never even notice if they have it or not. I'm more interested of the gameplay.
    Tail or no tail, it's fine for me.

    What @logion said, plus tails could simply disappear if clothes are worn over it, like how hair disappears under hats. So no visible tail if the werewolf wears pants, a skirt, or a full body outfit; visible tail if they're naked or only wearing a top and/or shoes.

    To be honest, though, it's not a deal breaker for me that there a no tails. An option would have been nice, but I don't necessarily need it.

    I haven't seen an unclothed wolf's back completely, so I'm not quite sure yet, but I sort of think that the missing tail makes them a bit creepier and less furries. I guess the missing tail can also make their back look funny which I'm a bit worried about, because I don't want them to wear clothes.

    If there was a tail I might prefer it to look similar to the real wolves' tails, i.e. not too long and fluffy, but perhaps a bit fluffy. I think I would prefer it to have some animations too. I probably wouldn't like it if it was just hanging there, but it depends on the design of the tail. I think I had a couple of cc tails in TS2 years ago and I didn't use them, because the design was very fluffy and thick and the lack of animations was annoying.
