Patch and Base Game Update Discussion (New Patch released today 7/26)

I wish, I would have found this thread before updating my game. Hopefully nothing bad will happens. 😰

Beside that I really want to thank you for bringing back the basegame wedding for those who have my wedding stories. I know, I was nagging everytime about the missing rewards from the basegame wedding, that's why I came here to say  thank you for bringing it back. I love the other events from the game pack, but I love the basegame wedding too, especially after I found out, how it works. 

I updated and I Do Not have this option to turn penthouses into apartments.  Is this just for the chosen players?

So is the game safe to play yet? 

neighbourhood stories is causing siblings to romance

I remember two years ago when the new Wants & Fears system was so half-baked (for lack of a better term) that it led to Sims wanting to romance their siblings. You'd think they'd try very hard to prevent something like that from happening again...

I was listening to Maple Simmer last night. She mentioned that toddlers who are already at the skill level to receive the top notch or happy bonus traits won't receive these traits when they age up. The work around is to cheat at least one of their skills down and then get it back up to the level needed for the trait.

Lilsimsie did it in a stream. It should work if you go to a penthouse lot and select residential rental. I believe it's only available if you have For Rent, as residential rental is not a base game lot type.

I have tried those options (thank you for providing the link to them). It starts but shuts down before it gets to the main menu. I'm hoping when they come out with the patch for the patch (because normally they do) it will fix the issue. I hate investing so much money into a game and not be able to play it. 

Can we please pin important threads like these to the top? I often come here to look and see if there is a new hotfix available and this thread has gotten buried among the other threads.
