- It's fine if the patch gets delayed. Seriously, though, 2020 is a crazy year so far.
- atreya33Seasoned AceSo I came here to see the reaction on the patch, I did not expect a delay. It would have been nice if they would tell us the reason. I am a bit disappointed but in the end it it just one day. :)
- LiELFSeasoned AceThere are much bigger things going on right now in the US that very well may go down in history and spark huge future changes that are important and long overdue. A game patch delay, in perspective, is a non-issue.
I think they're definitely doing the right thing. Respect to EA and Maxis for standing with the protestors and taking a step aside to show support. - Sigzy_29New SpectatorSo....what in the world is going on in America that they stopped doing their work?
I'm not saying I mind that it was delayed for one day but I'm curious as to why. - Sigzy_29New Spectator

BlackoutTuesday.
It's African Americans standing up for their rights and to be treated like human beings, after a black man was murdered by the police.
Ok but what does that have to do with the patch? Are they turning off the lights/electricity everywhere in America? "Sigzy05;c-17523520" wrote:

No, it's a day of not being vain on social media and acknowledging Black people and their right to equality. No one is posting much on social media except posts about how to respect Black people and listen to their experiences. So the patch presumably wouldn't be brought out so as not to divert attention away from the cause.- I really doubt that the situation in America would affect a sims patch y'all. If they were cancelling it "in solidarity" they would've said that, they probably just found a bug last minute and had to fix it before releasing the patch. No worries.

Yikes, some of the replies on Twitter are awful...a lot of upset and angry people out there. Let's get some perspective people!
It definitely wasn't the place for a little light-hearted humour. My bad. I think I shall keep away from there in future and avoid the unwarranted hostility and abuse.
But, yeah, I don't really care about the patch anyway, I'm mostly looking forward to my day off on Friday playing the new EP. - AineOfMaySeasoned SpectatorSome simmers are acting like if Christmas got canceled. It's just one day delay. Maybe they found a bug they needed to fix, maybe it was the blackout tuesday thing, we don't know. I definitely hope they would delay a patch if they find something that needs fixing, instead of doing another one in a couple of days. If's it's the blackout thing, I that understand too since a lot of companies are doing it.

It doesn't say anything more but I think it's been made pretty clear why the update has been delayed
