I just experienced my first autonomous try for puppy between the two dogs in my household. It was very unexpected, as I'd been playing for maybe a week in-game and I hadn't thought it would happen that soon. While I'm happy to have an adorable puppy in my household now, I'm a little confused because I was never notified that Lady (the mother dog) was pregnant, only that she had gone into labor. I thought we were supposed to be informed of both? I even went back through all of my notifications to see if I had missed it and I hadn't. Is this a glitch or was the information on pet pregnancy notifications we got from the gurus incorrect? Has anyone else experienced this?

I think it was some type of glitch. I just got notified that my dog was pregnant so the notification is definitely supposed to pop up. Hope this helps! :smiley:

I didn't get a notification either, which I'm fine with. I like surprises, but now that explains why every attempt to get them to mate they refused. Her name is Lady too...lol.

I think it was some type of glitch. I just got notified that my dog was pregnant so the notification is definitely supposed to pop up. Hope this helps! :smiley:

Yeah, I have a female cat. I never got her fixed. One day, I got a notification she was going into labor! There are no other cats in my household, so she got preggo by some tomcat I guess :D

I think the breeding is a little bugged. My cat has been trying for a while now. So either she keeps getting rejected (which is possible, you even get a notification/moodlet) or its bugged.

My sim has two female dogs, he moved in with his girlfriend, and I completely spaced, but she has a male dog! None of the pets are fixed. A few days after moving in, my sim's husky gave birth to two puppies! The only notification that I received was when my female dog was in labor. It shocked me! My mouth dropped open! I'm guessing it is a glitch, I'm hoping they run out a good patch for December (or maybe even sooner) that clears everything up.

User-directed. I tried 50+ times to get my male cat to breed with any of several female strays on the docks, and it never worked. I moved a female cat in to my household and it took 1 "encourage to breed with ..." to get the cats to mate, and within the hour was notified that the female was pregnant!
I was highly frustrated with the interaction not working but moving the cat I wanted mine to breed with in the to the house worked wonders.
