Pets in other worlds

Before C&D was released, the developers said they're only meant to spawn in Brindleton. Although when Jungle Adventures was released, stray animals also appear in Selvadorada.

ah so its only those two worlds then?

I haven't seen any strays in any of the other areas. Only Brindleton Bay and Selvadorada.

I have a sim with a cat in Forgotten Hollow. The cat has not been sick and needed a vet since moving to FH. Its been almost 2 sim-years. He was constantly sick in BB.

I have plenty of cats running around Windenburg. Can't say the same about dogs, though.

I'm even more concerned that none of my neighbors' pets are running by. Are pets never leaving the home lot, like toddlers? If there lives a cat next door you actually expect to see it walking by occasionally.

I don't even see my neighbours out and about. Lots of sims from other worlds but no immediate neighbours after the neighbourhood welcome wagon.
I have never had strays in any world but Brindleton Bay.

I'm not sure about other worlds, but I definitely get strays in Newcrest.

I think you can let them spawn if you use the lot traits from cats and dogs. For example, I used a dog related trait on my park in Willow creek and it spawns sims with their dogs.
You have the dog/cat friendly traits and the dog/cat hangout traits, if I'm not mistaken. One attracts strays, the other attracts housed pets and their owners. But I forgot which is which, the description should say it though.

Thanks. I didn't check my lot traits, but those traits are definitely not assigned to those worlds prior to Pets EP. It would help a tad if my sims at least had a couple spots where their pet can mingle with other pets :)

I put one of the traits on my park in Willow Creek and I get lots of owned pets going there. Not sure if I've ever seen any strays though.
