In the real world, you can't see yourself, unless you have a mirror or some kind of reflective surface. Now, in the Sim world, you can't see yourself, if you are in First Person Mode, unless you have a mirror. This could be pretty useful, if you want to play your own SimSelf and move about in a house that is a replica of your real-life house. Speaking of that, I can't wait for the near-future update! We can finally have split levels for the Sims 4!!! Now, I really hope that Sims 4 would eventually have cars and garages and walk-out basements. That would be superb, IMO. :smiley:

I won't even play myself in third-person view anymore. My Simself was pretty accurate....that's when I decided that I did not like seeing myself on screen lolCars and garages would be awesome!

First person mode sounds nice on paper but it's pretty useless in practice as you cant go through doors so you're just stuck in the same room unless you go back to third person

First person mode sounds nice on paper but it's pretty useless in practice as you cant go through doors so you're just stuck in the same room unless you go back to third person

Actually, it is possible to go through doors in First Person Mode. You just have to know the keys.

SHIFT + TAB First Person Toggle
LEFT-CLICK Pie Menu

I've never had to click on anything to be able to go through doors in first-person.

I am the very same way. I won't (and don't need to) play my own self, as I'm very satisfied with how my life has and is turning out. Besides, the game can be unpredictable and one doesn't always get the outcome one seeks.

Besides all that, I am tormented with motion-sickness. I don't play other games from the first-person perspective, as it makes me dizzy and consequently, nauseous.

I find the camera a bit janky in first person mode to be honest, if it didn't move around so much I would use it more often.
