Point of preorder?
What's the point of pre ordering a game? I always buy from origin and I never have issues with it. I don't want problems with pets though, could they run out of digital copies?

Name me someone Here that is actually a fan of Sims 4 - not getting an expansion? Really the new world is enough to make anyone buy it regardless - we need more lots - the rest is just icing on the cake. Personally if you do not care very much for Sims 4 - I can see you might need reviews - but people who play the game and like it enough need space - period - a new world is all the review the game needs to be honest.
But also some of us are following very closely all that is going on at the Gamescom - plenty of live reviews going on - what your problem?
I really don't see anyone in my family of which now make up 32 simmers, waiting for a review - they are going nuts they need to wait until November as it is. LOL. You can pre-order up until the day before release. I generally pre-order if I plan to pre-order the week before release so I can pre-download when EA sends me the email I can.
i don't know his name, but i've nicknamed him richard. know him?- I think they do it for the option of people being able to pay for it early if they have the money now but won't in November, I also just had a look on my origin and mine says in the UK it will be released on 9th Nov at 11pm... so maybe people who pre order get it a day or a few hours early?
- I'll be preordering it as a present to myself and for my bestie when I have the money to get it done and should I happen to be able to download early that's awesome! This EP for me is something I love in the sims so it's worth it sight unseen to me. If it's not a must have or you have to be financially suave with your money then waiting makes sense. It's all about you and your real world life and priorities game wise.

Actually with it coming out the 10 th of November I am sure there will be a sale by Black Friday which is just two weeks after that date. Now whether or not that ep will go on sale too is another thing - but you have Black Friday, followed by C.Y.B.E.R Monday, then in December all the Christmas sales - so yeah - waiting might have benefits for sure.
I got city living on sale on black Friday. It was half off, and when I buy the sims 4 the same. I got them at Target,- I never understood pre-ordering, especially if I'm not certain I'll like a game and it's a digital download(no fear of running out of copies). I like to wait and watch LP's first and maybe even wait for a sale if it's not something I want really bad.
- On an unrelated note - How long does it take Amazon to list the stuff packs to purchase?

I know, but even though it is released worldwide, my Origin still says it is going to be released on 1.00AM. I really don't know why...

I miss all the content you get in the past from special edition and pre-order.

For me, it's just avoiding payment issues if there's a lot of people buying at once at release. But I figure a day or two ahead would be good enough for that!
