GETAWAY SYSTEM

This is the place (and time) your Getaway will be hosted at. You can host them at your house, at someone else's home, in unoccupied homes and on community lots. If you host them on your home lot, you profit. Everywhere else, it costs money.

You can host at any of these venue types:

Duration (Starts, Ends, Repeats?)
Getaways can be INITIALLY booked for up to 6 nights (7 days), but once in progress they can be extended live Vacations. You can do this by clicking the X on the timer of the event UI - it gives you options to End or Extend your Getaway, or you can cancel the action.
Getaways can be set to repeat weekly on single or multiple days, depending on how long they last for. You could use this for something like shared custody, regular Scout meetings, weekend trips, scheduling things like skill practice around work/school etc.
Schedule (Roles & Time Slots)
Roles
These are the Sims attending. They might be Guests, Staff, Entertainment, Rivals etc. If you want them to be at the Getaway doing a Scheduled thing at some point, they need a Role.
Roles are a combination of Role Criteria (Sim Filters) and Activities (default Role Behaviour if not changed in Timeslot). Roles can be picked as-is from the premade/saved Role Library, picked from the Library and edited, or be made from scratch via the the Create Role button. New or edited Roles can also be saved to the Role Library for later use. Every Role can also have an Outfit set, if you wish, as with Clubs.
Role Criteria
There are new Sim Filters with this pack. They have NOT been added to Small Businesses or Clubs, which I hate. Sim Filters should be equal everywhere it makes sense. New filters:
Gender: Radio Button/Single Choice Toggle - Male/Female
Romantic Orientation: Radio Button/Single Choice Toggle - Attracted to Male/Attracted to Female/Anyone/None (note: makes it easy to find love interests of your bach's preference on romantic themed Getaways)
Region: Checkboxes/Multi-selectable - All installed Residential Worlds (note: great for local "staff" Roles, or for finding specific Sims for Roles via the Sim Picker)
Relationship Status: Radio Button/Single Choice Toggle - Single/In a Relationship/Married (note: this is a different filter to the Marital Status one used by Clubs/Businesses)
Role Sims
Sims in each Role can be manually selected (Sim-Picker), randomly selected via Role Filters (such as Age, Trait etc like Club Requirement/Small Business Customer filters) or a combination of the two.
So, say you want 4 Camp Counselors at a Child's Summer Camp, but you only want to play as 1 of them, you could set Role filters for the others and then let the game decide from there. Alternatively, you could use the filters to find other Sims appropriate as Counselors and pick from the results manually via the Sim-Picker, like you would when finding new Club Members.
Timeslots
This is the block of time in the day when X Roles do Y Activities. Timeslots can be a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 24 hours. Each Timeslot has 2 types of Activities: Main Activity and Role Activities.
The Main Activity is used for all Roles as a base Activity for the Timeslot and, along with the time, is how the Timeslot gets it's name - an example of this would be Have Breakfast. You can add whatever Roles to the Timeslot that you wish to follow the Main Activity. Any Roles not added will follow Free Time autonomy (regular Sim autonomy). Example: Maybe your Entertainer, who works later, likes to sleep later and therefore misses Breakfast.
Role Activities are things each Role does that are different from the Main Activity, or in addition to the Main activity to increase the chance of them doing it - an example for this Time Slot would be to have Camp Counselors Cook, Grill or Serve Meal so that the Campers have something hot/more substantial to eat than Child accessible foods, like Quick Meals.
Getaway Rules
Do you want more of a theme or challenge to to your Getaway? Maybe consider adding a Rule. Some Rules make things harder, some make things easier, some mean Sims get eliminated and one causes activity randomisation to mix things up a bit.
Rules relating to Sims also allow you to pick which Roles they apply to. E.G. Do all Single Sims romance each other (Love Island style), or do they all compete to out-romance a particular individual (The Bachelor(ette) style)?
You may only pick one type of Elimination Rule per Getaway.
Activity Shuffle: Main Activity gets switched with another in the same category. E.G. Fishing could get swapped for another Outdoors Activity, like Swim.
Grindset Mindset: For Sims who want to stay busy with grinding skills or other activities. Don't pick this if you just want to relax on your Getaway as it will make Sims Tense if they don't keep busy. Could be good for career related Getaways like Industry Events/Conventions.
Hardcore Mode: This one is great for Motive Trials/Hunger Games/Survival type gameplay as it makes all needs drop faster.
House of Grudges: Friendships decay faster. Also great for Motive Trials/Hunger Games/Survival type gameplay, unless you are using teams of some kind.
Love is in the Air: Romantic Relationships build faster. Sims have a strong Flirty moodlet to set the tone.
No Strings Attached: Jealousy is disabled during this Getaway. Great for Sims that want to spice up their marriages, perhaps? Could also be good if you don't want side-drama during a Bachelor(ette) type playthrough, when one main Sim is flirting with several spouse candidates. Could potentially cause drama post Getaway as you still have those side romances in your Rel Panel.
Renaissance Studio: Faster Creative skill gains and better chance of higher quality output. Great for a Writer or Artist retreat.
Child Skills Elimination: Autonomously eliminates Child with either least daily progress or lowest total Child skills (toggle button available to pick which option). You pick which Roles are eligible to be eliminated.
Cooking Skills Elimination: Autonomously eliminates Teen+ Sim with either least daily progress or lowest total Culinary (Cooking, Gourmet Cooking & Baking) skills (toggle button available to pick which option). You pick which Roles are eligible to be eliminated.
Creative Skills Elimination: Autonomously eliminates Teen+ Sim with either least daily progress or lowest total Creative (Painting, Writing etc) skills (toggle button available to pick which option). You pick which Roles are eligible to be eliminated.
Player Choice Elimination: At elimination time each day, player chooses which Sim to eliminate.
Romantic Elimination: Autonomously eliminates Teen+ Sim with either least daily progress or lowest total Romantic Relationship gains (toggle button available to pick which option). You pick which Roles are to be Romanced and which are eligible to be eliminated.
Popularity Elimination: Autonomously eliminates Teen+ Sim with either least daily progress or lowest total Romantic Relationship gains (toggle button available to pick which option). You pick which Roles are eligible to be eliminated. You pick which Roles are to be Befriended and which are eligible to be eliminated.
Survival of the Fittest Elimination: Autonomously eliminates Teen+ Sim with either least daily progress or lowest total Fitness Skill (toggle button available to pick which option). You pick which Roles are eligible to be eliminated. (note: great for Fitness Bootcamps, Team Try-Outs or other related Getaways).
