Yes. It's been confirmed sims your not playing will ask yours out,ask them to be boy/girlfriend, best friends,dump them etc is coming to the base game in the update. This isn't locked to High School Years it's part of the update. Crushes are also coming to the base game.

I need to find the post where they mention autonomous NPC relationships because I could have sworn that was a feature that was only coming with the pack, unless I'm remembering wrong ? I hope that feature being base game is true because relationships and attraction isn't just exclusive to teens.
