Chase has been a gardener for ages, as he makes his money producing nectar. He's also had a death flower planted for ages... but it has never once actually produced a flower. What gives? So frustrating. That is the only thing I am waiting for to complete this week's event.
elliebreton I gave up trying to grow one. I was going to do it properly, but my plants were sometimes not behaving and even when they were, it was all just taking so long... I decided I wasn't having fun and really wanted to get back to my normal game, so today just went and ordered the death flower from the Home section on the phone. Tasks all done and this week's event finished, and now back to carrying on with my real game. Phew.
I can't even get my spliced plant to give up an orchid, never mind a death flower. 😄It says it's spliced and has orchid but has only been giving off snapdragons. And the ol' revert to dirt piles bug keeps happening again after every harvest. I'm constantly having to use cheats to put the plants back to their previous states. Tedious! I ended up downloading a room from the gallery with all the plants I needed. 🤷♀️Nobody got time for this. 😅
I couldn't get my spliced plant to give me an orchid either. at one point it looked like there was an orchid ready to harvest on it but I never got the option to harvest it, then it went away. I sent my sim to the magic realm to buy a death flower which cause my UI to go blank (from traveling I think). To fix that I saved and closed my game, went back in, the UI was back but it went backwards a few tasks so I had to redo them. Then the task to harvest a death floor completed and I was done for this week. Every week there have been glitches with the UI, tasks "completing" without me actually completing them, multiple Grim Reapers spawning when I summon them with the phonograph. It just doesn't seem like anything I do for this even actually matters. Things just randomly go off or not. But I have all the rewards so far, but I am soooooooooooooooo beyond ready for this event to be over already. It's going on way too long.
I havent' been able to harvest any orchids or pomegranates either. I don't know that much about gardening, so I thought perhaps it's a chance to yield orchids from the spliced plants. I definitely liked the idea of keeping them and doing this in the future, because they take up less space, yet offer greater crop variety. But if it doesn't work...
Same! I obtained a death flower earlier and planted it but no yield as of yet. I'm thinking about buying one from the magic vendors over at the magic realm to complete the task. It's taking so long.
elliebreton , my death flower bush is the same, no flowers. just tried it. (I do have mod for plants to grow all year)
BUT crafted (Pomegranate+Orchid) tree did give flowers daily. Weird.
EllupelluelluI think I have the same mod but I can get flower. It may be about a plant growing bug. You may try to right-click to the bush to see cheat menu, and change the grown state to be “blossom”. ( I don’t sure the name because I’m not in front of laptop)
After it’s blossom state, the next 5am or 11am (related to your choice of that mod) the flower should be available.
BTW, if you already get death flower from another method, try to plant new one again. Your previous bush may have problem.
