So I'm of the mind to create a "Master Save" for utterly recreating the Sims 4 worlds.
I'm talking evicting and deleting all the game generated families I don't particularly care for. Same with bulldozing all the lots I don't particularly care for either. There's SO MANY talented builders and sim creators on the gallery, I know I'll be able to rebuild and repopulate the worlds as I see fit...
I have just one small problem here:
Actually DOING it! I went to start, and I froze up because I just somehow didn't have the nerve to start going about the business of evicting and deleting and bulldozing and so on. So, those of you whom HAVE done this process, how did you begin and what was the most rewarding part of the experience overall? I'm hoping to get some inspiration here, to go ahead and actually do it myself!
I do this gradually by building new lots when new packs come out and then upload them to the gallery so when I need to create a new save I can just download them back into that new save. It has taken years though and still don’t have all my own lots for the earlier packs.
I started doing this procedure some years ago and have occasionally re-done it from scratch, which takes me some months but is definitely worth it.
I start by bulldozing and evicting Willow Creek and then when that has been re-done to my satisfaction I move on to the next world in line and just complete each world in order as they show up on the screen, left to right, top to bottom. When we get a new world I go back to my original save and do the same for that one, copying the Lots into my library to transfer to my current save if I have one on-the-go.
From time-to-time I decide I am fed up of certain lots and need a change, so I edit my master save again.
Music is definitely my friend during the process! I turn off the game sound and put on some of my fave tracks and I can happily build for hours.
I admire how you can all rebuild an entire save. I don't have the time nor the patience.
I do have my own start file because I noticed I was adding the same buildings to my saves over and over. Some builds in my starter file are my own creations, some are from the gallery and a few of my favourite creators. But I only create a new lot when I see the need for it. Some are still the default ones, ready to go if I need the space. The sims however are 90% the original sims. I gave reasonable winter outfits to sims from earlier packs and added a few of my own favourites. But I don't mind the maxis sims sticking around as sims to be befriended by my played households.
After reading this thread I thought I would start with a complete clean slate too :) I did make an empty world for myself and is ready to get going. I did share it on curseforge if anyone would like it too, I will show it in the spoilers. I was thinking of using one world perhaps Willow creek just for community buildings, Magnolia promenade would definitely be some sort of Rich people exclusive area since there is only the four lots. And the other worlds according to their packs, eg dark scary sims in forgotten hollow and so on. I am going to try my best to build my own lots, look at tutorials online and so on, to work on my building skills. Thanks so much for this thread, I was getting a bit bored with my game and this just gave it a nice wake up call <3
I have taken 3 human days not sim days to make some changes to all of the worlds and allowed vacation worlds so that you guys can have a clean slate to play with. I will list them all below for you. There are images of each world below. All you need to do is unzip the file and put it in your saves folder.

Also if you go to the households there will be no npc generated sims or townies, it is a clean slate in there too. Only my basegame sim is there to activate the save game. Once you have established your sims then you can delete her out of the save game. I have used no mods, I play a vanilla game. Everything was done manually. I hope this will come in handy for some of you. Happy simming <3
ps. No packs are required, if you don't have the world in your game then it simply won't show.
ps. Also while demolishing I saw that the top part of Strangerville might be a nice looking area for the Horse Ranch expansion too, so might not only have horses in Chestnut ridge.
