Roommate keeps complaining about the bed

I have an apt style lot with 8 apt. My roommate is assigned a bed all to herself in one of the apt. First she complained the bed wasn't comfortable so got her a new bed with all 10 stats, but she still moved out the next day. Thought it was a glitch, but she keeps moving out saying this same message:

I've changed the bed multiple, then just gave her a new apt altogether but still the above message. What am I missing here please?

  • When placing the bed or anything around the bed did you use the move objects cheat? If you haven't, something I have also noticed, and I really don't know why but it has also started very recently is when I try to direct my sim(s) to do something, and if they are not right at that location they will act like they can't get to it, even though there is not anything blocking their route.

Have one of your sims that you do control, see if this might be the case by trying to have them use the bed that you keep having issues with.
  • I have not played a lot with roommates, that is I did have them but just replaced them if they complained and left. But I wonder if they refer tio the "total situation", not just their own bed? I the other apartments still have bad beds, the "score" might be too low.

In my dorm I have a couple of the Uni beds (which I assume are quite poor), but there are also some nice beds, so maybe the game makes some average score of it all? My lodgers never complained about the poor uni bed.
  • Same here. I built a mansion that has 16 toilets and showers, 3 stoves, 3 fridges, one gym, >16 bedrooms (all with computers that my roommates never use.....), 4 gaming mats, 1 arcade machine, 1 huge swimming pool, a gym room... I have 3 household members and 11 roommates! (cos I used the mod to increase roommate capacity) They don't take good care of themselves and complain!!!!! All of them are assigned with their own bed but they often still look sleepy and stinky!
fyi. Ive been using "cheat need" to make them happy and I found this works and they complain less.
  • I have the same problem and it's driving me crazy. I've made room for three roomates. They all have their own bathroom, "mini kitchen" and big bedroom with all of the most expensive and best things they would need. I just made myself a giant mansion so the roomates have their own floor. But they still had access to the rest of the house, so they can pretty much do whatever they want.
But still they are constantly complaining that they can't get sleep, or that they can't take care of themself and move out during the first 24h... It's driving me crazy and I would really like to fix the problem but Idk how ?
I don't play with mods (don't really understand how they work, and I'm scared it will mess up my game) I've tried to make my sim sleep in their beds, use their bathrooms and so on, just to make sure nothing is blocked or anything like that. And everything works fine with my sim.
So, have this issue been resolved yet or anyone have a solution (not mods since I ain't smart enough to figure that out?)
It's gotten to a point where I almost want to quit playing cuz it drives me crazy
  • Hmm.
I had this same issue occur after an extended time (two sim-weeks) of everything being fine. Then I added one of the roommates to my household (She was an alien, I'm working the save to an end where the house has one of each occult type) and within a few days, the other one apparently isn't sleeping in his room and is complaining about the sleeping arrangements.

The only other cause I can come up with is that I messed up on locking the doors somehow. I locked the doors for each of the household individually so that the servo butler and any house guests the roommate had could access the room (he had the serial romantic trait - I used MCCC to edit his wardrobe). Either I messed up on locking the doors, or else changing the status of the roommate threw something off on the door locks.

Or he was just upset that he didn't have access to the other bedrooms for some reason.
  • same, my sims roommate never slept in his bed though it was assigned to him and he could clearly enter the room.
One day he just left saying that he's exhausted and will try to sleep on a park bench...I am not that sad since he was annoying as eff but still...welp, I bought a new bed and moved it a little we'll see if the new roommate likes it better.

In my case, my roommate suddenly stopped entering the bedroom and began complaining even though it was fine before. Turns out it was a buggy door. I bulldozed and replaced it and now all is well.

All my roomstes acted like that, and I tried everything I could possibly think of, but nothing seemed to help.
So the solution I ended up with was when my roomates started complaining i just shift-clicked them and used the "make happy" cheat. And that worked , they actually stayed. So this is still what i do if they start complaining
