So I bought Seasons but not really played with it it feels like Easter and Halloween themed 'activities' are only for children and ppl say kids get nothing to do...

The amount of activities in general that kids can do compared to YA/Adults is significantly lower. This includes interactive objects and off lot experiences such as after school activities. This is why people say that. Two holidays for children doesn’t make a strong argument.

Any Sim can hunt for eggs, and then display the collection. Pumpkin carving can be done by anyone, you can also throw a Halloween party if you have spooky day. The trick or treating can’t actually be done by active Sims, so that feature is just to hand out treats to NPC kids that knock on your door.

I highly recommend two mods that I use to get more from Holidays. Both mods have more activity options to select for holiday events.

It opens up more options that kids can participate in. I love the Watch Movies and Eat Popcorn so much I made a Summer Blockbuster day where they visit the movie theater.

Well more I thought only kids could interact with nieghbors to trick or treat but seems the tradition is rng sim children ringing your door which is fine

I find that the holidays tend to be more family/home based, though you can add the Grand Meals to restaurant menus if you have Dine Out which works great for my single Sims. I even noticed if you have DU and Seasons installed, if you're at University on a holiday the cafeteria will serve a holiday dinner and that counts to fulfill the Grand Meal tradition if you have that scheduled. (Had both the Turkey Dinner and the Tofurkey Dinner available.)

There aren't that many traditions that can only be done by children; many can be done by both children and adults. Some of the traditions might be ignored by household members (teens tend to ignore a lot of them).

I create kid oriented clubs with GTT that kids participate in.

So edited my post I don't use kids and my post was more me saying the only traditions I wanna play with are kid only it seems

Oh ok. Makes sense now. I think it is a little frustrating sometimes how the game decides which Sims will like which traditions based on such a small handful of traits. It means your Sims have to have those traits if you want them to participate in the tradition. If there were more traits, I think then they could have more traits determining tradition interests and you still get the feeling that the Sim has their own individuality rather than say, only Snobs liking a certain tradition. Hope that makes sense.

I don't think the game prevents sims from participating in traditions depending on their traits, it's just that the tradition will be greyed out if it doesn't suit their traits.
