Seasons UI first look!

https://simsvip.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/6RmcnnC.png

So it looks like we get the Season on the left, and the weather and thermometer on the right!

I like how it’s intergrated in the clock. I was worried they would put it somewhere annoying, like over the Sim in the UI like they have done before (it never made sense to have the Season over the Sim model, same with the moon cylcle, it’s not Sim information so it makes no sense being there. They should have designed the UI with Seasons in mind).
The Sims 2 Seasons UI looked nice.

Only complaint is that this will be hard to see for Console players.

Otherwise I like how they’ve intergrated it, and makes it feel part of the game, not shoehorned over the top like I was worried it would be (same with the Calander).

  • @Keffers when I played I didn't see any way to disable the season, but did play with the weather machine and changed it from snow to sunshine weather. There is a variety of options you can pick for the type of weather you want to see. I know in my Southern California beach town December can be hot where you can only wear shorts and somewhere else up northern California need to wear sweaters and rain coats. I'm sure in a few months some modder will allow us to disable the seasons.

Can we set different seasons different lengths? I'd prefer Oasis Spring to have a mild/short/no winter.

Yes, they said you must have all 4, but can alter the lengths, and they'll affect each world a little differently.
  • @Keffers there is a drop box for weather and holidays you pick to decide how long the season is going to last. Season has a lot of drop down interactions to pick and choose how you want the game to run. I like the amount of interaction this pack has for us.

This pack makes our personal game unique from what other players have in their game. We pick what type of weather our seasons use.

Hang on, are you saying we can select/unselect weather types per season?

I strongly disagree. I was really disappointed that the sims 4 stopped using the actual temperature readings. Just saying Warm doesn’t mean much. It’s extremely vague. I think it’s nice to be able to see the change of the seasons and the temperature is apart of that.
