Ok... lets be reasonable. What teen is going to want to go to school 5 days a week, every week, all year round, without a single week off? I'm talking... no holidays whatsoever. I mean like... ever (see what I did there... the channeling Taylor Swift thing... like ever? errrr nevermind)Maybe its because I have the season's pack that i'm thinking the game should at least allow for summer holidays for kids in school... or.... maybe its just me wanting a less scheduled gameplay experience for teens/kids. I don't know whats sparking my frustration but this idea of teens/kids constantly going to school without ever having time off just seems a bit crazy to me.Do you people have a way of working this out that I haven't thought of? Or maybe you don't care, and are wondering why i'm being picky? lol. I'm rolling the dice here and thinking there's at least 1 person who wants time off school for at least one of their sim kids......... help lol.

They have holidays (ex. Winterfest) off. They also have vacation days that they can use, so they shouldn't be going 5 days a week, all year round. But an entire week off is probably way too much time off on default game settings because a Sim is only a teen for 2 weeks.

Saying that a teen is only a teen for 2 weeks is presumptuous. I don't age my sims up, and prefer to have my household members remain as created. This leaves me with a teen part of my sim family for duration of family gameplay.... which would include multiple seasons.

Pretty sure there is no limit to how many holidays you can put in a row. So you could make a whole summer off with them. But the "day off from work and school" toggle also affects adults with jobs. I have aging off and have 3 "boarding school" homes each with 4 teens living in them so it's an exclusive teen environment. I added a mod to give them shorter school hours so they get out at 1 not 3 and that they can have freelance jobs. They do gain vacation days which I use for a spring break and send half to Sulani for a 4 day weekend and half to Selvadorada the next weekend. This has improved my teen game play a lot. They have clubs, prom and home coming events, ping pong, basketball, they attend soccer games at Ubrite on Saturday evenings from time to time (not as students). They volunteer together and many other things. I really enjoy teens now whereas before I aged them up as soon as they were an A student. Now I'm in no rush and there's plenty to do. I have teens that don't live in these 3 homes which adds some fun. Once they age up, I move the next teen or teens in. In essence they're no longer boring.

@luciusstorm it actually surprised me how much I enjoyed the changes I made for teens. I'm building a small school house thing with rooms for painting, computer work, workshop, gym etc so they can skill build and it'll kinda complete the feel (especially having prom connected to a school). It'll be used on weeknights for club gatherings. I think what i found I enjoyed was that there was no rush to age them and no rush to create a "family" since they can't get pregnant. It's been a lot of drama and just a lot of fun. Even have a teen night club. They're really missing a big opportunity with this life state.

I said that it defaults to 2 weeks, so it makes sense that by default there aren't any 1-week holidays. You can add your own if you age up your Sims differently.

I hadn't even thought of the vacation days thing. I usually only care about that when it comes to adult careers. How many of those do you get for teens and how many can you use in succession?

They earn them much the same way adults do and, in my experience, yes. That's what I've done to handle Summer Vacation for my teen sims... set Seasons to one week, and then use 5 days of vacation time for the teen to take the Summer off. Sometimes it hasn't worked (basically when I haven't had a full 5 days saved up) but in general it gets the concept across.
