- If true, then this should shock the Simming world to its knees.
Why?
Because that end result can kill a Sim stone-dead in the blink of an eye.
It happened to one of my Sims a few months ago - completely destroyed my game - ice cold - totally vicious and savage killing of a Sim.
Some emotions are deadly they are absolute killers and can kill a Sim when you are not looking. - Yea my Sims get very playful or even hysterical with clean clothes I had to remove the washer and dryer.
- I cannot stress enough how fast a Sim can be killed due to items in a household that may add to the effect.
If you have Playful items near that Sim, etc, that Sim can be killed stone dead in a split second.
THIS INCLUDES LOT TRAITS - not just items, furniture, etc.
A Sim can simply drop dead in the blink of an eye. - See even the sims are ecstatic about having clean clothes. And to think some of us thought laundry would be boring.
Just have your sims calm down in a mirror and let them focus on other things. The bathtub has soaks to change mood and the hot tub too if it is upgraded. This is one bug you can work around until it gets fixed. - Sims in the Comedian career are at an extremely high risk of dying.
Threat level critical. - DeniseNJazzy8 years agoRising VeteranI started noticing this in my game when toddlers patched in, a lot actually. It got to be so bad that I can't stand to give any of my sims the trait that causes them to want to be comedians, nor do I give my sim kids the trait that makes them rambunctious, as it was causing all the sims in the family to be in a playful mood every time the one with that trait was in conversation. My toddlers, there is a trait that I will not use (I forget which one) causes my sims family members to become in a hysterical/very playful mood when they interact with that toddler for even just five sim minutes.
Can't really put a time on it, but I can say I do notice this abundance of playful/hysterical behavior. I do not like like it at all. It's cute for children and toddlers if it would just stay with them. It's not at all funny for me to see my adult sims in this behavior. Even with the comedians, use it when you need it, lose it when don't. Geeze Louise Already!!! - Having toddlers in the household can also make Sims Playful or Very Playful.
- just make sure you don't get to +15 Playful and any Happiness moodlet factors and the hysterical emotion won't occur ;)
I actually have not encountered this so called "bug" yet myself, are you sure you guys just didn't pay close attention if the sim had +15 Playful/happy moodlets?
However I had a few sims die of laughter recently (all intentional off course :D ) but when they do die they just disappear on the lot, no death notification or Grim, just a gravestone in the family inventory. This is the bug at least I know happens with this death at least :o - I’ve had this happen to me today, my sims’ daughter is mischievous and she did some interactions that had her playful, also had a toddler brother and clean clothes. Her mood kept switching from very playful to hysterical and I’ve never ever reached hysterical so I started to freak out lol very close call.
- Is this a bug? My sim did nothing funny/fun or anything. There's no other modifiers to the playful mood in my sims home but the laundry (just one time) had him on the hysterical mood and I very nearly missed it. (his aura around the avatar pick in the bottom left corner was blinking like it does just before death) One laundry cycle should not make my sim die! I hope this gets fixed soon. Buying a pack like this seems pointless if we can't have them do laundry without keeling over the very first time they do it!
