Oh, I see. Well, I am still worried about the save corruptions the new pack might cause

I can't speak from experience on any of these, but from what I've seen, B&H thrives on Cross Pack compatibility (though they still missed some stuff)
Keep an eye on James Turner's Rags to Businesses Let's Play on YouTube. If anyone is going to stress test the pack's compatibility with Get To Work, it will be James.

I am concerned about the new lot assignment system for the new pack due to it might causing save corruptions. I mean, I heard for rent would have a cross pack with B&H (Maybe it's due to EA actually acknowledging For Rent's corruption save bugs, and they're fixing that, I hope), but still, I'm still weary about it.
Another concern is will the new retail system also break with the new pack due to the recent update. Don't get me wrong, I like the new update, but the retail system and vet system. Vendors still tend the stands but still
MY next concern is not bug related. I am concern about it not having a lot of cross pack ability

Yep, that sums it up nicely. This pack feels like an enabler. It system offers a lot of flexibility and possibilities but the actual content is more limited.
Some translations of the title say things like 'from hobby to business' (German translation for example) that would have been more accurate. The hobbies in the title suggests more new hobbies besides only pottery (tattoos are a skill but not a hobby). And children definitely shouldn't be left out in a hobbies expansion.

It's not really a negative, and I basically think this will easily be among my favorite EPs, but re Pottery, I'd wish for more "exclusive designs". There are a good number of options for shape, and a good number of options for colors added, but still the sum of it feels rather general. I hope we will get added more colorful and "stand out" color options later, and I'd hope for at least one version of pottery design/color that would be quite rare, and obviously also expensive. As far as I can tell there is little to desire for the Landgraabs, and I'm not sure whether these items would become an obvious heirloom (L&D EP) either.
My hope is that this can be expanded on later. EA rarely expand EP restricted features, but perhaps modders can at least find ways to create additional colors/patterns for that rather "we want nothing but sades of earth colors" list?

I won't know how I really feel until I get my hands on it. From watching a bunch of videos this pack feels very empty but also filled with possibility. It as the ability to have a bunch of fun new business but also heavily relies heavily on imagination. Yes, I might be able to feel like I have a hotel or a daycare but that's not what those businesses really are. I hope this pack doesn't mean we won't things like hotels.
I've liked what I've seen of pottery but it seems small compared to tattooing or even other crafting objects(knitting, jewelry, etc).
Happy kids can use the candy machine but they really should have gotten something else.
I still can't get past the name. This is not a hobbies pack. I wish we would have gotten at least 2 more hobbies even if they were at the level of the candy making.
This one I might be alone in but it looked too easy to make money. Things were selling for too high. Rewards gave too much money.

After watching several game changers I have two complaints , things I wish would have been handled differently.
- Pottery requires electricity. Pottery is amongst the oldest human maid items, people have been doing this not just for centuries but for millenia. There really should have been an off the grid option, especially for historical gameplay. Both pottery objects show power effeciency in the buy catalogue.
- Small business venues have to remain owned to function as a location to visit. I had hoped for this to be like restaurants that are functional without being owned, or at the very least like retail which need to be owned to set up but remain functional to visit as a customer after they are sold.

It only seems to add one hobby, pottery. It really feels like it is lacking so much in content that even calling it a gamepack would be generous. Main thing it seems to add is businesses and relies way too much on other better expansions to provide the stuff to actually make those businesses.
Great of course that it has that cross compatability, but it needs to provide more on it's own. Cross compatability is a bonus. It's really not a pack I would pick up unless it's at least half price in a sale, and the worst inevitable bugs are worked out.
It just needs some more hobbies, and it could at the same time expand on base game stuff like add more stuff to build at the woodcrafter table. Sculpting could have been nice to see return too, I liked that one in Sims 3. Sewing would also be good, the train set you can expand on from Sims 2, maybe a nerdy hobby like miniature wargaming where sims can collect and paint figurines for their table. Maybe let Sims play some sort of D&D game around a table. Some hobbies really don't even need to be very elaborate. Some more video games to play could also be nice.

DaWaterRatI know how you feel about heists. I felt a similar disappointment about the tiger sanctuary in For Rent which was first hinted at as gameplay and then turned out to be a textbox. Similar sentiments with the hotel added in lovestruck. We waited for 9 years at that time for hotels to be added and it is a rabbit hole. I can see a recurring theme here.
Real heists could have been so interesting.
