- I agree, this bug is terrible. I was playing a large household yesterday, and I had to constantly stop sims from cooking a new meal, right after they just cooked one. They had a full fridge and fresh food laying about everywhere, but would still make more.
I also had to get rid of the dryer, because it kept catching on fire every single time someone tried to dry their laundry. Getting pretty fed up with the non-stop bugs.
Also have a bug that causes Sims to jog naked, funny the first time, but annoying when it keeps happening. - And now, my sims will never change clothes when they go to school or other places. Yup, its funny to see your sim going with bed clothes to the school. Really funny :) at least she is very pretty...

Erm, sims dont eat leftovers unless you explicit tell em to do so. It has been that way since, i dunno , the day i started playing years ago.
My sims used to eat leftovers when I clicked on the autofill need button next to the hunger bar. Now they don't. It's broken. It hasn't always been this way. I hope they will fix it soon. It's obnoxious having them constantly cooking or opting to eat junk food.- Admiral8QNew Spectator

Honestly I didn't even know there was an "autofill" button. I just always clicked on the fridge and "Get Leftovers". I suppose why I never noticed this new bug. - LolzarellaRising Scout

Not in my games, they've always autonomously eaten leftovers. Until now, that is. - GalacticGalSeasoned Ace

Just a heads up, if Sims complete the Master Chef aspiration the food they cook will not spoil.
Currently grabbing leftovers from the fridge and leftover decay both work correctly in my game. I must note that I do have some of Little Ms Sam's cooking mods; currently I am using her More Servings Options mod and the No Auto Food Grab After Cooking mod.
Well, that will be the day in RL. Haha. - I'm having a similar issue. when i auto-solve or their hunger is low enough, instead of cooking, they'll grab a random quick meal from the fridge. They used to prefer grilling but then I took the grill away lol

I've temporarily solved this for myself by using MCCC Tuner to turn off their autonomy for grabbing a quick meal or cooking. Their only choice now is to go get the left overs.
This is great. I think I will do this too. Thanks for the tip.- This bug drives me crazy !!!! My house is full of rotten dishes ....
- cheekyimpNew SpectatorMy sims are auto cooking meals (usually single serve) then leaving them on the counter and grabbing a quick meal even tho in the past they would have gone for leftovers over a quick meal (esp the children), its maddening.
