I started a fresh save with no mods on November patch and I noticed even there's plenty of food in fridge sims constantly cooking..Also leftovers dont seem to spoil if left long in fridge..

My sims seem to eat them, but I haven't noticed that some leftovers aren't spoiling. Specifically Mac & Cheese when cooked in a cauldron will never expire and it seems most food cooked on the BBQ won't expire either. Not sure if it's just this save, I haven't played others in awhile to check, this is in an older save though.

I watched one of the sims in a family I was playing - she was in the red on hunger and made 6 meals, but did not eat any of them and there were also leftovers in the fridge. If I had not finally made her eat - she likely would have died of hunger!

After surviving the dreaded white cake debaucle, I took my 2 bffs on vacation to the mountain. They rented the house in the lower neighborhood, and the very first thing one of my sims did was to start cooking food, one dish after another...after he made the third dish I sent him home. This just started, and I don't like it.

I've clicked "Me Too" on both. These are super annoying. Especially constant control of hungry sims to redirect them to leftovers.

No, the Sims will not eat leftovers or clean spoiled food out of the fridge automatically.

anybody knows of any mod or work around this issue? It is truly game breaker with this endless cooking and not eating leftovers :/

I had to take away my sims microwave privileges. They kept cooking food and not eating it, just leaving it to spoil in the microwave.

Same, also leaving food in stove too and not finish cooking..

My sims don't cook at all... They keep grabbing quick meals and that's all they eat autonomously, sometimes leftovers, but not even always.

I watched the 2 households I play the most and they both ate leftovers if they were in the fridge.

Mine never eat leftovers. EVER. Not now, not even before the patch during two years straight. So, yeah. lol.

Do they still do it after resetting the Sim ? Just curious. My sims eat left overs, but I've always clicked on the fridge to tell them to get them.
They are a new family so I've been teaching them to cook, and haven't left them alone to see what they choose to do on their own. But I'm going to look to see what they choose to do by themselves.

Erm LOL. OF COURSE they do it if you tell them to. The issue is that they dont do it automatically to fill the hunger bar. Will be funny if they wont do it even if you tell them so :expressionless:
