So fed up of a certain glitch!

Are you open to using cheats? On the manage worlds screen, if you enable cheats then type in "freerealestate on" in the cheat bar, your sims can move into any lot without any financial restrictions.

i was told you have to buy a lot and input testing cheats on a lot its only with the very first or second sim i place just tired of it now its a pity i cant take a screenshot on the snowy escape map, i took all my mods out and retried it again still the same result, i repaired my game and am now updating it although i thought sims 4 updated automatically its the first time ive had to update manually

Are you current on all updates, and did you repair your game?

:( ok so i have updated my game, repaired my game, taken out all my mods and restarted and STILL after all that i have the same stupid glitch i dont know what else to do to fix it :(

Does this happen even with households created from scratch (no gallery)? Households retain their current funds when saved to the library.

yea they are ones i made myself its only happened since snowy escape it seems to be whichever sim i start with first and try to buy a house for the second sim is fine no problems

Ok so my game repaired itself when i opened the game and until i cleared caches etc it was painfully slow (another glitch others are experiencing with origin right now} aaand it still didnt fix the funds glitch depending with who i try to start the game with i either have 318 simoleons which is not enough to be able to afford anything or 2k which leaves me with 57 simoleons if i buy the cheapest lot so i give up im gonna install the few sims 3 games i have on my laptop. I`m a bit of a perfectionist nd this glitch is bugging the hell out of me so much so its breaking the game for me, im surprised noone has experienced this same glitch so idk what its all about but hopefully with updates and fixes it will get sorted.

Did you clear your Sims 4 cache files including the localthumbcache file? I would suggest doing that after completely removing your mods folder, then repair your game and start it up without your mods. Try it vanilla to see if anything changes, and exit without saving. If it worked, put your mods folder back in and try again. If you still have the glitch, it could be an outdated mod and you'll have to figure out which one it is.

I know you tried most of this already. You could use the "Freerealestate on" cheat while still on the map screen and it will make any house free, as a workaround.

The Snowy Escape starter houses are pretty expensive. The house in Wakaba costs 19,682 and the house in Senbamachi costs 19,943. That means that out of 20,000 starting funds, you'll only have 318 in cash after moving into the house in Wakaba (2-4-3 Wakabamori) and only 57 in cash after moving into the one in Senbamachi (6-4-1 Hanamagawa). That's not a glitch.

I have heard others complaining about this glitch. If the sim starts off with only 2,000 when you start, that is a glitch and not your fault. You should move them into an empty light (I use a little one in Brindleton Bay) and use the money cheat (it's just Money 20000) to give them 20,000 simoleons then move them into a starter house they can afford. If you have a couple, start them off at 25,000.
