Base game 'plain but pretty' has a black swatch. There's several patterned ones, the ones that immediately come to mind came with Vampires. I recently remembered to start filtering by colour and it's been a life saver.
Yes, but it also has floor moulding. I just want plain solid color.- OldeSimsFan5 years agoSeasoned AceCC maybe? I found some great black 'wall paper' that looks like drapery on TSR about a year ago.
- Black isn't a thing in this game. Look at the "black" haircolor.

Yeah, I know, right? Even the black tiles for roof patterns look brown in the daylight. So weird.- RouenSims5 years agoSeasoned AceCC items usually have the same problem. I read a tutorial on making CC that said you shouldn't use actual black when making black clothing, but instead use really dark brown or really dark grey or something. It explained why a lot of CC isn't quite black, but it kind of annoys me. Sometimes I just want actual black. I mean, I'm not asking for Vantablack or anything, but true black can be really nice sometimes.

Plus the not quite black, but near black, black for all clothing. - It drives me nuts. The colors are outdated. No black is a problem.
I would like to see some warm autumn colors, but all I see is cold and flat colors that don't really stand out. - Kathykins5 years agoSeasoned Ace

Plus the black for one piece of clothing is not the same as the black for another piece of clothing. Not even close.
I know black and white are difficult to shade, so I understand that they're not using pure black/white. It wouldn't look that good.
But yes, I've also wanted a proper black wall colour. Same with roof pattern. I keep looking for that, but of course can't find it. Wonder if I should just make them myself. - Kathykins5 years agoSeasoned AceWent ahead and made that wall. Just as a comparison, I put the "Plain but pretty" on the right side.

And for anyone who wants it: Clicky
Its just the one swatch/colour. - I iactually found an in-game pattern that worked (apparently one can filter by color and I never realized it). I believe it was called "A Concrete Idea" or something of the like. It had both white and black so the textures stayed the same.
