Has anyone tried the no sound option they have advised and if it works? Mine crashed yesterday before it even got onto the main menu screen. It’s also crashed for me in live and bb mode so it’s not just a live mode issue. I don’t know about cas mode as I don’t spend much time in it.
Yes, my game still crashed--though I was able to make it about 15 minutes, as before it was only 1-2.- My game crashed once since the patch. It seem ok now.

I bought the pack today, played for 7 hours on a new town, 0 crash.
Did you have crashes before or what is the point? ? The crashing issue is definitely real, although I have noticed as well that it doesn't seem to happen equally in all saves. In fact, as mentioned in my previous post, it really only seems to happen when I play that one family. But they do have an awfully big house and a butler. And they're occults. Not sure if either of those things is the issue but all my other families don't cause crashes.
I dont have any crash but i noticed that sometime during gameplay my audio suddenly stopped but didnt crash my game.
Seems like audio related crash affect everyone differently.
Yes true, I barely have audio issues at all. Everything works fine, then without any kind of real warning, it crashes to desktop in one fell swoop. I only had the audio disappear once (without crashing) and one other time one sound that got stuck in a loop and kept playing (game also didn't crash then). It's really weird :D - > @TrishIsWeird said:

I also want to add that I've had this problem since the October update  - I haven't had any issues with my game crashing but I experienced eytreme lagging (espesially in Build&Buy Mode, where for placing onesingle item I need to click it like 15 times).

The developers should have been given the time they needed to create the pack with plenty of time to playtest before it went eventually to the Game Changers. I honestly don't mind a release date being pushed back at all. I would rather have the Sims team say something like "We apologize for being unable to get Nusha Bulusha Expansion Pack out on... due to technical difficulties. We are working hard to resolve these problems to give each and everyone of you a rich unique experience that will far go beyond your expedations." It's not like Malifaux or Warhammer 40k which are tabletop games I am guessing that when Game Changers are given the packs to Market and Advertise on their channels and that they aren't given all the expansion packs out, to test with the new pack. The games may work great better than a dream with just the base pack according to the Game Changers. Or they might not do anything other than build or check out CAS and not actually do a test game with each occult and a non occult to play without CC or mods. They might even be under contract not to let us now all the problems they encountered prior to release. We the players shouldn't be finding all the issues in the game. If a year isn't enough time to playtest a tabletop game, RPG, Card Game (like Magic and Vandguard) why would a year be enough time to make an expansion pack for a videogame?
It's not the expansion pack that's causing the issues, it's the patch. Some players also report better performance after adding the pack. Plus, clearly none of the gamechangers had this issue (although they also didn't have all the packs installed). Bugs sometimes can't be found, even after extensive playtesting, because the conditions they occur in never get reproduced. So far, when I play a normal family - no occults, no extra large houses - in the new world, I have exactly zero issues and crashes. I only have them with one particular family and only under some circumstances. That's a hard thing to catch unless they playtest not just the current EP content substantially, but every other pack as well, in every possible configuration simmers may use it in. The possibilities are endless. Yes, it's a common bug and yes, it's incredibly annoying, but I think they were pretty surprised it happened at all. - The developers should have been given the time they needed to create the pack with plenty of time to playtest before it went eventually to the Game Changers. I have disabled the sounds on Steam and I don't know if there is a connection between them but I was able to play the game for 40 without receiving any crash. They weren't at home all time either, they went to dates, traveled around the city as well. Before disabling the sounds, the longest playing I had was like 20 minutes before the crash. I accept the fact that it sounds extremely weird to play without hearing any sounds but it seems like the only option until we receive a patch. Anyone who hasn't tried disabling the sounds might give it a try :)- netney52New SpectatorHas anyone tried the no sound option they have advised and if it works?
