Stop Cleaning up the Dishes

One of my biggest pet peeves is sims automatically cleaning up the dishes once they're finished eating. I try to cancel it every time.

The only types of sims that should clean up their dishes automatically are Neat sims and Children that were raised with good manners.

For those of you who wonder why this is such a big deal? It's annoying having each individual sim do their own dishes, when I'd much rather ask the kid to do the dishes as chores or have one of the parents do it etc.

I also have the opposite problem so much so that I have to form a cleaning crew club to clean up my house sometimes.

@Celticgamer0 Where is the option in MCCC to stop that?

    Tuning > Annoying Actions (probably)
  • I too don't mind if they clean up autonomously, however, what annoys me is when they drop the trash sometimes, just inches from the bin, because they are exhausted or whatever, and yet they still persist in cleaning up, that really annoys me because in that case I will rather they leave the plates as is.
  • Since the last patch my Sims didn´t clean up their dishes like bevor, even if I told them to do, they take one I´ve clicked and leave the others. Before the putted up every dirty dish around.
  • Maybe a tip for simmers having troubled with cleaning up dishes. I was having the same problem, so I sold tables, chairs etc..did not help, to then I turned my table 180 degrees, seemed a little better, then I looked at the ceiling light, I changed my walls to the medium setting, added a new light fixture over the table and, wait for it, worked like a charm..... :) May you might try it, I have a lot of mods I play with and some of the lights are just to long and cause problems for the sims.
  • This has never really bothered me xD But then again most of my Sims are lazy so-and-sos and rarely clean up at all xD

A (kind of related) pet peeve of mine is Sims putting dirty dishes in WEIRD places. My Sim walks into a room and they get instant negative moodlet because someone decided to stash a dirty cup where I can't see it. Or worse, a whole pile of dishes.
