Struggling (High School) Student

I'm playing a lone teenager in a shoddy apartment.
This means she really needs a part time job in order to survive. Currently she is a Barista in the early mornings. Sadly she got super tired during the school day. There IS a coffee machine in the staff room at the school, but being a student, Caitlyn can't enter. Any ideas for an energy boost during the day?

Also, Caitlyn is going through both a (distant) phase and a mood swing. Seems she is "on the edge of a breakout" a very strong 50+ tense moodlet meaning Caitlyn cannot do her homework. Any ideas here also, just in case it keeps cropping up?
  • added infirmary with some beds to my school edit for teens on verge of collapse but i recall there being sofa in original somewhere which might be good for quick nap

I would suggest bizarre fruits since they fill needs but also you do lose few hours on being possessed  so maybe not during school

i think you can apply facial cleanser thing at sink or mirror (i forgot which you have to click) to get rid of the acne moodlets and as with all tense moodlets bath probably helps

The infirmary (or school nurse's office) is a cool idea. May borrow that one later. I didn't know bizarre fruit filled needs (what is in those things?? :D ). As for tense, in the end I sent her for a "jog to clear mind" and that seemed to do the trick, though given breakout was the stress, maybe a facial cleanse would have helped too. Thanks!!!
  • Naps at school are the best. Don't forget you have only 2 hours of class time there, and 5 hours of free time, so use the free time as desired for that character.
  • The sleep replenshisher potion in the rewards panel is a great assist when you need to burn the candle at both ends. It’s only 400 aspiration points

Oh, speaking of the sleep whatever reward, you can also get Never Weary - it's a bunch of aspiration points but it's completely worth it. I wish I didn't need sleep irl. I love having my sims up painting or playing the violin throughout the entire night.
  • Oh and if it fits your storyline you could make your teen a spellcaster. They learn Potion of Plentiful Needs early on, and it only needs an apple as an ingredient which is very easy to get.
  • If you let your teen drink beer, take one quick trip to Batuu and have her learn the Black Spire Brew. It restores energy (but costs money to make, so not ideal for a struggling sim).

If you have IL, quit the part time job and do odd jobs instead. That way you keep the feeling of a struggling sim while making decent money. Choose those odd jobs that are not Sulani related, like pruning the bonsai, carrying crates, hiking buddy and installing the new TV.
