- People asked for more building space. They got it.
- Just a bunch of free space to expand your world and build your own town from scratch.
Nothing more, nothing less! - Make it your own?
Newcrest is my favorite set of neighborhoods just because its empty and i can build it to my liking, closest thing to CAW we have in the Sims 4. - People complained about lack of space so they threw them a bone.
I hate it. I am a builder and I complained, but I really hate it. Every time I start a new game, I have to spend a significant amount of time setting that one up. And to heck if I can't remember what lots I had there previously. Sometimes I want to build, but sometimes I want to play. And inhale that it's an empty unused space if I want to play instead of build. - @Mstybl95 You could just ignore it?
Or spend the 10-20 minutes placing down pre-prepared packaged lots.
Extra space if you want/need it seems like a very odd thing to hate to be honest! "Mstybl95;14216846" wrote:

My suggestion to you would to be to crate a "blank" save file with a newcrest (and any other sections of the world) already set up how you like them and use that save file when you start a new game. I do this so I have a world filled with homes and sims I like all ready to go when I start a new game.- Newcrest was a quick fix, a temporary solution to a much larger problem. Players complained there weren't enough lots, and they wanted to add their own; Maxis responded by adding 15 lots in copies of existing neighborhoods with different backgrounds.
I have no problems with Newcrest, but I would prefer a world creator before getting blank copies of existing neighborhoods spun as new. - I get what you are all saying...but my reason is based squarely on my game. I share with an 8 year old who plays more often than me. So when I do go back into the game, I find she has messed with my saves and templates. So I end up starting over a lot with saves in huge letters: DO NOT TOUCH! LOL
But in reality, I have always found it hard to ignore blank space. I know it is there and I have to fill it in because it's empty. So I dislike it because I can't ignore it and just play when I know it is there. Which means I have to go out of my way to build it each time. I do not use random lots from the gallery or maxis. Every lot in every hood has always been mine. And sometimes they need adjusting, which means more work before play. So what I would have preferred was for them to plop down some lots so that it would be usable space while I figure out what I want to build there.
I'm not saying any of you should feel like this, but that's my opinion and why I dislike it. "Ponder the Sim;14216856" wrote:

I did that - I had done so for the basegame too, after I'd customized it to my taste. I also saved all my Newcrest lots (with lot names that would make them easy to find and place) to my Library."luthienrising;14216905" wrote:

Yeah same. I save all my built lots for later use because though I do enjoy building, I'm kinda lazy about it.
