@Pamtastic72 I couldn’t agree more! I also don’t want to have to pick and choose which packs/features I get to use, they should all work together. I’m trying to get a story going without cheating but I don’t think it’s going to work. My spellcaster will either have to purposefully go seek out and visit a vampire, or give up her black cat familiar.
I don’t understand buying a pack titled Vampires if you don’t want them in your game and then basically ruining the pack for everyone who actually wanted vampires. I feel like if the nerf features we paid for we should get some of our purchase price back. I paid $20.00+ USD and now I rarely get vampires so I feel I should get like $10.00 back.
A lot players just want the build/cas items. That's why. They may not mind the other features that come with the game as long as it doesn't interfere too much with their style of game playing. That's not hard to figure out. For ex. I don't care about some knitting, but I may consider the new stuff pack anyway if I like hair styles or other cas/build stuff and/or maybe get the pack for a discount.
It is not interfering at all, it is just a removed feature at this point.
Really, what is the use of occult-packs if non-muggles just nerf them into oblivion.
It turns into glorified B/B-packs, with gameplay slowly chipped away.
I really really don't like players who cannot be bothered to use lot-traits for residential home that keep vamps away and instead is happy that all gameplay of the original pack is gone.
Edit: Can't they just make it a lot more likely that you get attacked if you read the lore....something.... :'(
Exactly! And it would be like turning off Knitting from the pack that folks buy this coming Tuesday, you are turning off a main feature, or making it where there are No spellcasters at all. If you are buying just for CAS or build Mode items you have to be aware that you are buying all the features, especially the main thing it comes with. I still don't like that they made no townie sims come to be spellcasters now, I know they wanted to tone it down some but they did not have to remove all of them, I wish they also let them decide if they wanted to be a vampire too (without a mod). That just is not a valid argument saying just because they buy knitting for some things but not knitting maybe. I know that I am not interested in knitting really, but I do know that when I buy it, that it will include the main thing the pack is for, knitting. So they should just create a toggle (for those that do not want to or cannot use a mod to do it) to turn off any Occult sims they do not want in their games, then those of us that bought a pack to use the Main Thing it is created for can actually use them, they are basically powered up humans right now, and powered up humans that do not even use their powers! I can take a sim over to see the Vatores and they will be getting drinks out of thei fridge over and over, or if that glitch is fixed or when it was still see Lilith even eating food, even tho her one weakness would try to keep her from it and it has always done that with her or any vampire. They have never acted as supposed to, and little by little some parts get fixed but not very many, and its not fair to see folks wanting a light fixture to be smaller and more affordable when you still have Main Aspects of packs not even working.
