WARNING - email from Origin/EA about Origin password reset is PHISHING

Just received an email looking to be from Origin (noreply@e.ea.com), that my Origin PW had been reset because of suspicious activity. I was asked to follow a link to set a new password. I'm normally never ever clicking links in emails - so I always read the content carefully. This one had all setup and layout looking real, but there were a few weird translation errors (as I'm not in US). Besides, they suggested of security reasons that I should rather type the link into my browser, than clicking the link because it would be safer (link was type 500 characters... making sure nobody would bother to type it all). Lots of talk about security, trying to fool me.

Then I recalled that I actually joined the 2 step signup thing last Fall, I was then sent a list of extra passwords when doing that. Whith any password trouble it would be more natural using those PWs than to click a link to set a new? Naturally I tried to login to my Origin account, like the normal way - and absolutely no problems there...!

Then I noticed that the mail was actually sent to one of my mail addresses that are NOT even registered with Origin...

So, the entire mail is pure phishing. As it looked serious at first glance, I just wanted to warn anyone else. I never received anything like this regarding my Origin account in the past.

Stay safe!
