- The fruitcake is highly beneficial though. It is ideal for multiple toddlers (because it never goes off) - you can leave tons of it all over your Sim's house and the toddlers will sniff it out when they are hungry - if it is there, they will find it.
- Depends on my mood. I usually ignore them or cancel out the event but they leave the fruitcake and I try to delete it before my sim gets to it. They always autonomously eat it despite having food in the house and what's worse, I'll have sims who hate the fruitcake and still eat it.
Plus all the neighbors get so dang rude. And I'll be cooking for myself and they're like "food for us?! Thanks!"
No the food is not for you >:( - Willowana8 years agoSeasoned Ace

I quite like the Welcome Wagon thing - I don't like all of the Sims that turn up (some are pretty ugly - depending on where you live). Plus, I never get any of the fruitcake - the Sim carrying the fruitcake never hands it over, they stash it in their pockets and make off with it.
You must have some enormous, squishy toddlers. Do your sims ever throw their backs out of alignment playing with them? The calorie count on fruitcake is outrageous. Around 800 if I remember. "SageRainWillow;15646395" wrote:

Dunno, but the stuff doesn't go bad when left lying around and toddlers home in on it when they are hungry."AshtontoAshton22;915084" wrote:
Am I the only one who doesn't like the Welcome Wagon coming over after you move your Sims in? Honestly, I don't want to feel obligated to talk to the neighbors. And also, making friends in the game spawns excessive texts. Tips on how to prevent this?
I admit it I don't like the Welcome wagon either. The welcome wagon has always been in the Sims game as far as I know. Sometimes it a hindrance to my plans. If you move to another part of town you get another Welcome wagon.- Am I the only one that likes the welocme wagon? lol
I want my sims to know their neighbours, it's quite realistic don't you think? And I don't want to go to each of their house seperately and go through the loading screen to meet them.. "PotterheadSim;15646439" wrote:

Nope, but we are in a minority here - surrounded and outnumbered.- ChampandGirlie8 years agoSeasoned AceI generally like the Welcome Wagon. I certainly don't mind it.
- I like the welcome welcome. I just moved one of my YA Sims out of her mother's home and her new neighbors showed up to greet her. One of the neighbors went to the fridge and started to prepare a meal which mightily upset my sim. :p
ETA: I rarely start/play new households so I have limited experience with the Welcome Wagon but looking forward to moving out my next sim just to see who shows up. - The cavalry have arrived.
