Waaay back in the days of Sims 3, loading the game took a while. *pulls out elder cane* I'd leave my computer loading to do something else or pull out a book to read. Sims 4 doesn't take nearly that long, but there's still a loading screen. How do you entertain yourself during the initial start-up? If it takes a while to load between lots, what do you do then?

I don’t do anything because my loads are super fast which is very nice. During ts3 days I’d pull my hair out and when it finally loaded I’d quit out! I didn’t have the best pc back then though, just a mid range. I’ll play sims 3 on my new gaming rig and it takes probably 2 minutes to load. I play the find it game.

There's no time to do anything. Now that the loading screen is darker I can watch it. Sometimes I take a sip of tea or something. I am glad the game starts paused in case I do get up for some reason.

It depends which computer I'm on. If I'm playing on my newer one the loading screen only takes about 3 minutes, I'll my email on another device or quickly make a cup of tea or throw on the next load of laundry or something. When I play on my older computer, which I'm really do anymore but I have one save file on that one because it's the one I bring to work and play and once in a while when I'm at home I want to play on that file to haha, well that computer takes an average of 17 minutes to load, and has taken up to 45 minutes before, so then I do something a little more productive like cleaning the kitchen or get in a workout. I've even watched an entire show waiting on it haha.

Usually contemplating what I'm going to do once it loads.

It really doesn't take very long. I remember the old days, I would have the tv going while it was loading and it was a bigger deal to go anywhere.

On my computer, it takes a few seconds max. It's a gaming rig that was on sale.

It’s only about 20-30 seconds on my largest lot/biggest hoarder sims so i usually just chill, maybe enjoy a beverage, not much time for anything else.

It's just a few seconds and thanks to the rebranding I have a nice, green (modded) loading screen now ;)

On my old compuer I used to scribble down notes about my families and plans for the game during loading screens. Will do that again when loading times increase.

I mean, it literally just takes like 3-5 seconds... what else is there to do in this short amount of time? lol I have a feeling many people are overly exaggerating how long the loading screens actually are.

or maybe they just actually have longer loading screens than you do

It's so fast I don't even have time to do anything.
When playing Sims 3 I can read an entire book though.

I have enough time to sip water or blink but that's about it. S3 doesn't take very long either now (for my PC).
