- I'm hoping a Romance Themed Pack is next. If not I'm hoping for a Hotels or Themepark Pack. Cars will probably come free in an Update.
- More things for Sims to do in their everyday life! Every pack is so siloed - live on an island, go to Uni, be a vampire, hunt down an evil flower. Would love more hobbies like the sports ones @bruceleroy98 mentioned, or the craftables other Simmers have suggested. Would be great to have more things for Sims to do.
- Hopefully Generations.

- SheriSim6 years agoSeasoned AceI would like several things..... I don’t think an expansion pack will be next, but a game pack. I think maybe romance, another vacation pack with hotel and casino stuff, and or weddings honeymoons and bridal stuff. Possibly a wedding shower party. I would love to see real babies as a free update too, and a stuff pack related to them. Cars would be nice too. The next expansion pack I would like to see is farming.
- They added in pets, seasons, and university. My game is set so anything else they add in now is just a bonus.
I like the idea of a carnival, fair, or amusement park like someone else suggested. We don't really have anything of that nature. It would also be a good way to introduce stage magicians and acrobats to the profession list.
I really like professions as long as they aren't already something we can do in game. Maybe they could do a review of the existing base game professions and add another branch to them. For instance:
Astronaut: Space Station Captain (might also give us another area to explore but this time in space to go with Sixam)
Athletic Big League Coach (for people that like to be involved with athletics but not as an athlete)
Business: Real Estate Tycoon (this could also be linked to business ownership like we used to have in Sims 3 and be leveled by investment values)
Criminal: Extortionist (think other white collar crimes instead of gangsters and hacking)
Culinary: Nectar Producer (we don't have this yet and could easily be added in with new harvestables and build mode items)
Entertainer: Dancer (make it an official profession as it was in previous iterations)
Painter: Muralist (could start off with graffiti artist and move up to work for corporate headquarters)
Secret Agent: Intelligence Agency Leader (working behind the scenes - possibly a reintroduction of the Intelligence career and the SCIA)
Stylist: Fashion Model (you would still work with photographers and stylists but this time on the other side of the lens)
Tech Guru: Technology Researcher (these sims would be involved with getting new technology out there and be a specialized link to the Scientist career)
Writer: Magazine Publisher (Authors and Journalists have to be published somewhere... could start off as one page newsletters passed out on street corners all the way up to Condé Nast level publishing) - annaliese396 years agoSeasoned AceThere are some great ideas here! I am particularly hoping for werewolves (because my vampire needs a
petworthy rival), romance (with a chemistry system, improved weddings, and more romance interactions, incl cuddling in bed and slow dancing), and generations themed packs (with a free baby patch). I would also love to have cars (with a mechanic career), horses (with a horse riding skill), hotels and rented lots (because I still need my beach vacation world), bands (with more instruments e.g. lutes, harps, upright pianos, electric guitars), more 'every day' careers (incl playable NPC careers e.g. librarian, repairman), and hobbies (e.g. sewing/embroidery, origami etc.). Hopefully, now we have bikes, we will also have exercise bikes at some point and dumbbells. - Horrorgirl66 years agoSeasoned AceI think farming will be the next expansion pack.I hope for bands next year, and maybe a fairy game pack.
- As far as packs and expansions go personally I'm hoping for a few things as usual, farming would be nice because honestly at this point I'd really like to go fully off the grid, since there are strong suggestions that horses are coming it isn't too much of a stretch to think they may also add in chickens cows and pigs (hopefully) and give people the ability to go fully self sufficient and have their sims have that sort of really old fashioned lifestyle, I've already got a sim household with what is essentially a small farm and medieval household
I'd still like to see farming include leaving offerings to faeries for a better harvest and things like that.
Werewolves are probably going to be the next occult considering how much they are wanted, I just hope they are more wolf-like than they are hairy humans, that is a more popular depiction these days (underworld, skyrim, most games and anime in general, twilight... cringe) and honestly it would just be cooler in my view
What they could do is just have a medieval themed world, then you can have that sort of farming along with werewolves and add in other things like sword fighting which I've also wanted and occult jobs (finally, it's /long/ overdue.)
I'd like to see small storylines in some of the future stuff the way they did it for strangerville, even if they are optional.. like a mysterious person wandering the woods near a cluster of farms in a medieval town who turns out to be a werewolf, a witches cult casting spells on the locals, vampire/occult hunters investigating unexplained phenomena.. there are a lot of little stories they could add that would make worlds like that feel more alive both normal and supernatural.
Beyond that.. I'd just like to see them add to what already exists honestly, there are a lot of things that they could expand on, aliens, mermaids, vampires, spellcasters, job unlocks remaining available to your sim once you hit rank 10 in a job (like scientists suddenly forgetting how to use their inventions and the machine that creates them, it doesn't make sense)
Kids should be able to do magic, be mermaids and use vampire powers for example, even if it's just a kid friendly variation of what adults can do, they literally always get left out because "nobody plays kids" which is partly true only because there isn't as much for them to do.
More jobs could get the go to work treatment over time where you can actually choose to *go to your job*
Tweaks to supernatural phenomena could (and should) be made.. like having permanent lightning powers and being able to lock in being a plant-sim, they should at least be lockable.
Overall just add to the packs that are already out and add more new ones, make them all fully worth the price tag attached. - aejp246 years agoSeasoned AceBefore we get any pack such as amusement parks and zoos, or any other shallow pack that doesn't add anything to long term gameplay (What I mean is you send a sim to the zoo or amusement park once it's not going to be different than sending your next sim there and offers no deep new gameplay) We really need to update the sims personalities. We need wants/fear, better babies, updated traits that affect their personalities. We need a generations type pack that enriches deep meaningful gameplay that changes from sims to sims and affects their lives. I'm not that fond of a farming pack but even that would add gameplay that wouldn't necessarily be a one and done experience. I want packs that change the game in a way that I can play it multiple times in different ways without feeling like it's repetitive. We already have so many packs that feel like a one and done experience that makes the game feel shallow. So I hope that the next packs are something around the lines of Generations, Hobbies, Romance, and free updates for the sims personalities that change the core of the game and make the sims feel like individuals.
