What have you done with Diego Lobo?

@EmmaVane There are romances that are meant to be and that is one. I picture the walls of their home decorated with paintings by Van Goff and Piccolo. I know what you're all thinking, don't you mean Van Gogh and Picasso? No I mean paintings by Vern Van Goff and Peter Piccolo. Diego may be an art critic but no one ever said he knew what he was doing or that he was very good at it. I know Maxis paints his? backstory thusly...

Established and novice artists alike shudder in anticipation for the day Diego Lobo steps his critical foot into their gallery. Impress him and you'll have it made for life. But if one brush stroke is off, if just one hue is not quite to his liking, you may never work in this town again.

Nothing in that says he's good at it, he just makes artists shudder. In my mind they shudder because their work is being judged by a man who can't tell the difference between Van Goff and Van Gogh, Piccolo or Picasso. I'd shudder too. He's in way over his head but since there was an opening for an art critic and nobody else was willing to submit their knee caps to the wrath of the San Myshuno artist collective, Diego got the job in spite of knowing absolutely nothing about art. It was a paycheck, and one that provided him with a nice penthouse apartment in the most exclusive neighborhood in San My, a fabulously outrageous wardrobe, and no shortage of flamboyant boy toys to choose from. He may be incompetent, but he's such a nice guy that the artists of San My have come to love him in spite of his being a critic. He so rarely has anything bad to say about whatever artwork he's critiquing, the art community allows him to keep his knee caps on those rare occasions where he does give a bad review.

@LMLS2143 I'm so okay with a Diego Lobo fan club ? he's the only pre made I'm a fan of so seems alright to make that mutual. He's immortal in my saves. He isn't allowed to age or die. He's the only Sim pre made I've bonded to.... ever.

I don't really notice him, but then there are quite a few sims i don't pay much attention to on a new save. That stated, i do watch the manage households screen at times to check how stories progress and he is often one of the last to marry from any of the pre-made sims in any new saves i'm in.

Nice to see Diego get so much attention here. I love him too. He is my pretentious San Myshuno artist. :heart: He carries his paint brushes with him on his hip wherever he goes. In a previous save, he had been in love with Paolo Rocco, but Diego had an affair with Mortimer Goth and Paolo left him. It was really sad actually Paolo was so good to Diego, humbled him and got him fit at the gym and he lost that snobby walk and terrible bleach blonde look. I'm not sure what to do with him now that Paolo and him broke up. Maybe I will try to get them back together again or give him a new boyfriend. I was thinking of Joaquin Le Chien or Sergio Romeo. Although, lately I've been thinking he and Penny Pizzazz would have adorable kids and I kind of want to see what they would look like so I might make them a couple in my current save. Who do you think I should set him up with now that he is single? Izzy Fabulous is out of the question. Diego is too hot for Izzy :tongue:

@Elliandre try Penny! She has the right gave structure to overcome his semi sloped cheeks and I also really like Penny. I think they'd get along well really

I thought I had another one but guess not this is my most recent makeover of him, he's one of his dates' three baby dadas.

@RedDestiny92 The light blonde hair in that style looks really good on him in your pic! Is that hairstyle CC or is it in the game?

@Elliandre @RedDestiny92 Wow! You two did a great job with your makeovers on Diego!? And now that I think about it, it's been a while since I gave Diego a makeover. I need to put that on my to do list.

@wahini2024 I know exactly how you feel. I make sure my girl Venessa is well looked after. And you brought up another, I feel, premade who deserves loads of love Penny Pizzazz. I'm fairly new around here so maybe she does get a lot of love and appreciation but I don't see her mentioned very much. My sims always hit it off with her and usually hit good friend and bestie status fairly quick.

@Elliandre I like how yours looks too, that is from one of the packs I'd have to look at him in game to remember unless someone else knows. Edit, it's from the nifty knitting kit.
@LMLS2143 Glad you like him I don't know why but I have always liked a good bit of premades so I use them a lot and they need a lot of make overs.
