- I usually start out and build them up. However, once my Sims are successful, I tend to stop playing all together due to me getting bord with them. I take a few months away from playing and then start again but I typically don't like continuing where I left off. I prefer to just simply start a new game. I don't know why.
- bshag4lvSeasoned AdventurerI have several sims who have reached lvl 10 in at least one career, done everything, many skills and sitting in a big house with a million in the bank...so where did the challenge go, lol. This is the biggest reason why I move on to other sims and ideas.
- g01denswanSeasoned ObserverI create 2 new young adult sims (brother and sister) every time a new pack comes out that gives me the opportunity to create a new retail business. For example, I created sims to own a:
bakery and clothing boutique with GTW
restaurant with DO
veterinary’s office with C&D
bank with GF
flower shop with Seasons
I still need to create a
grocery store with CoL
candle sore with EL
furniture store with DHD

- Whenever a significant event occurs in their lives I move onto my next rotational household. I play on a linear timescale from -200,000 BCE to 2020.
- SharoooniaNew SpectatorI play with all of the premade families, switching families keeps the game more fun for me.
- manicobsessive1Seasoned NewcomerI have started a legacy save where I play a family until the 'heir' goes off to uni and moves out, and then I switch to their story. I am still on the first gen though and the heir is still a child, so not quite there yet!
- In my current legacy game, I usually start playing with a new sim when she or he turns into a young adult and moves out. Although I make sure that all children of the family have different interests and skills, I tend to focus on one particular sim already when they are teenagers, because I know pretty early on, which sim will suit the storyline I want to follow next.
