There's no way that a GP budget could handle all the new animation that would be needed for farm animals. Plus we'd end up with a single-neighbourhood world, which would be a wasted opportunity given we don't have a true rural world yet.
Personally, I want farms
in Sims, in the same save as the other aspects of Sims. The existence of farming simulators has zero relevance to that. I mean, there are zombie games, so we should never get zombies in Sims? There are games for owning a business, so it shouldn't be a thing in Sims? Nobody ever says this, but I hear it about farming all the time. I mean, I get that not everybody wants farms in
their saves, but
there isn't a pack that everyone wants. That's just not reality.
Me? I want All The Things. I want most of them for me, and some of them for other people (e.g., abovementioned zombies -- I am not going anywhere near them, thankyouverymuch).
And on the topic of bugs, bug squashing involves a very small proportion of developers at any given time. It involves zero designers. It makes no sense at all to stop making packs which waiting for QA and development to find acceptable solutions to every bug in an extremely complex game played on all sorts of combinations of equipment.
And yeah, much as I love my mods, "there's a mod for that" isn't a good excuse anymore. Not when it leaves out all the console players.
