I mean, like yes... but also no? And if they keep on adding hot tubs in everything else, then what is perfect patio gonna be? Hot tubs were supposed to be the gameplay feature in that.
These are the buy mode stuff from there.

I gotta say that couch is still one of my favs tho... So pretty. And the counters. Thank God for the counters. XD They should call this The Perfect Counters cuz those counters are my fav. LOL.
We need more contemporary counters, that's what.
well they could make things like hot springs and hot tubs that aren't above ground
Yes, they could. I think one of the gurus said around the time of the release of Perfect Patio that they could do other variations of 'hot tubs' possibly in future packs, but the normal hot tubs is exclusive for Perfect Patio."comicsforlife;c-17399323" wrote:
and as why they would still by this pack
I think they'd buy it because they like how those hot tubs look :) DeKay
But how about all of us who have already bought PP? It kinda feels weird cuz we are just left with the other stuff.
but I do like how the hot tubs look in pp so I'm glad I bought them @dekay
I mean, to be fair, they still look better than the 20th anniversary gift we got. :D I just think it's wrong that they took a gameplay object advertised to be on the pack and now it's not anymore. It doesn't make sense to me. Imagine if they brought pets into base game. Imagine if they brought seasons into the base game. That's what it's like, except that this whole hot tub thing is to a smaller extent since it's just an object but there's still a lot to just an object. There's a few special social interactions you can do with it and these come with custom animations, etc etc. - Peapod796 years agoSeasoned AceWhen you hover your mouse over the PP icon on the home screen in game it says "Add hot tubs to create the perfect outdoor space for your Sim's home"
It is literally the one and only point they point out and to me that's the main selling feature of this pack. As someone else pointed out, the icon for the pack is literally a hot tub.
They could have chosen something else from base game or an entirely new item all together. It didn't have to be this and since it was this, it should have been an iconic model from the past, like the love tub. If you're going to make your own pack obsolete then make it worth it? I don't know who chose this, but it really wasn't a great idea and feels rushed and lazy, considering if you did buy the PP pack, you actually have this skin and if you have Parenthood, you can use move objects, add the pillars and roof and lights in about half a minute. - logionX6 years agoLegendThe free hot tub that they added is from 2015 and they have not added any more hot tubs since then so I'm not sure that would happen.
- Peapod796 years agoSeasoned AceThey said in the past that adding these premium items to packs would be your one place to get them so as not to devalue the pack and give people incentive to buy them.
Now I know that they lied, and have zero intentions of keeping their word.
Sure they did it before, but a jacket in CAS or a hairstyle is hardly a game changer. The photography was, but I see that differently too. Photography is added onto if you buy the pack, otherwise you get the basics. I struggle to think of what they could add to the hot tubs to justify this in the future (without now taking away from spa day). Maybe I'm just not creative enough to see it. - The hot tub itself has no real value to it unfortunately as fun and hygiene meters are bad, i don't plan on using it.
- I personally don't expect that we'll get more of them in the future just because they released one for free. But it doesn't bother me that one was released for free.

@DeKay oh thx for sharing the PP BB! I use all of those items probably more than any others. You’re right, it’s so pretty! I use that little candle lamp, counters, shrubs, bbq, bar, and loveseat in like every build. ??? I totally forgot those were all from PP!"DevilNDisguise;c-17399745" wrote:

but they didn't add anything new for photography till last year so there's a chance"Camkat;c-17395539" wrote:
In TS3 the packs were set up differently. Things weren't exclusive to a theme for a pack. They were able to reuse objects in that way. TS3 store though was different. The premium game play items there were not replicated in the game expansions.
If they wanted to re-create that business model, 6 years in isn't the time to do it. I personally didn't have PP and hot tubs would have been my only reason to buy it. Thanks to them, I don't have to now. That's my 10 bucks out the window and likely a lot of other people too so I struggle to understand from a business perspective how they figured that this was a good idea?
They specifically said that the premium items in stuff packs would be limited to those. It's the main reason most would buy those packs. The rest of the pack doesn't offer anything else that isn't already in the game. I feel like stuff packs in TS4 are basically the premium items like TS3 store, except a tad more expensive because they're bundled with other CAS/BB you may or may not want. At least with the store, you could cherry pick and customize to your liking.
Hot tubs maybe should have never been locked behind a stuff pack, since TS1 and 2 they were base game. However, they made that choice and they should have stuck with that. Personally I am glad to have it, but I do feel like people were ripped off and that really isn't fair.
I agree. This a reason why nobody complained when they reused the Swings from Seasons into Island Living. Those Playground equipment are a small part of a pack, and not a huge gameplay feature nor the center of the pack. Compared to Perfect Patio where the pack's major new feature was hot tub.- Smellincoffee6 years agoSeasoned AceAt the very least, it added something to The Sims 4's base game that was in the The Sims 1's base game 20 years ago.
