Why Is the EA launcher now telling me...

I'm having the same problem. Sims 4 is no longer in my game library?

I just saw that too. Like what the heck??

EA App is garbage.

EA resorting to dirty tricks now.

Just use the desktop Icon or launch it from the folder.

We are tracking this issue internally and working to get it resolved ASAP, The Sims 4 does not require EA Play in any form to function.

Update: @ Ace_C1 has shared a potential solution for this issue until the issue is resolved:

I also found a work around for anyone else experiencing this problem but had the game installed beforehand. Navigating to the game's directory and going under /game/bin and opening it manually though the .exe opens the game without issue. Interestingly the EA app would close/crash the moment the workaround is performed and refuse to open until the Sims 4 is closed.

I put the EA app into offline mode and launched the game that way. Then I went back online with the game still running. This could also be a work around if offline mode doesn't give you issues.

Same thing just happened me, The Sims 4 base game, several expantions and packs are missing. I just asked for support and have a case number. So im waiting for them to reply me. Im so scared/dissapointed that this happened, really hope they fix this soon.

No, they are not. The EA app is just cruddy. It also affects more than just The Sims. Obviously if someone has already bought the game they don’t need to re-buy everything for the same platform.

I just tried your offline suggestion SimplyJen and it worked fine. I am back in my game.

This keeps happening to me over and over. If I restart my computer and the game a few times, it eventually sorts itself out. I am glad that it happened to me before the big update, so that I did not think it was an issue with the update.

Good to know, thanks. It may have seemed like an overreaction on my part, but after what they did with vampires, then putting Star Wars in the game my trust in EA is almost non existent. I mean, could you image how Star Wars gamer fans would react if they put The Sims in a Star Wars game. Ha... :s

Hopefully they get their launcher sorted. :)

Wonder if it has anything to do with the Windows update? I did the Windows update on my PC and it worked fine after that.
