- SimplyJenRising SpectatorI'm buying before the cut off date to get the bonus items for sure... Not sure when I will be able to play. Planning on upgrading my CPU, motherboard, and RAM while adding another NVMe drive depending on sales.

This choice suits me pretty well.
I do feel slightly more interested in the pack than horse ranch (which I still haven't bought). But I am mostly interested in it because I would like to try and build apartments, I like the setting and I would like to have a pack to play over the holidays.
But I'm not sure if playing a landlord or playing or encountering sims snooping on each other and breaking and entering into places will be fun.
If I can't control the sims who live in these different apartments either then I worry that they will not be able to take care of their needs (like the roommates in the dorms in Discover University).
With you on the snooping and B & E, at least one of which is a criminal act punishable by jail time. Sad that EA seems to be promoting such activity as OK. So much for this game being family friendly.
People have spent the last twenty years finding creative ways to murder their sims; I don't know that I would say that this game has ever been 100% family friendly, even from day one. - I may pre order and I will definitely buy it early. I've been waiting for this for so long. But I am a little worried about my gaming laptop, it is sagging under the weight of my DLC.
- WrenrySeasoned NoviceHaving a new world and items is neat. But I just see the packs features as just another version of the existing roommate feature that I hardly use.

they have apartments in the city, you move in get it fixed up, you leave, you come back and you cant get into your apartment. oh and if u try to rebuy it it will be empty. that was my experience with sims 4 apartments. and over the years ive gone back and tried to make it work with same results. so no apartments again for me/
That is strange. I have never had anything like that happen with the city living apartments. I play a vanilla game though. Are you sure it wasn’t a mod or CC causing the problem? - Artie_ATHSeasoned NoviceI am very interested in that pack and I think I might buy this by the time it comes out.
I have always been a little upset that I never got to play Apartment Life in Sims 2 because it never was released for Mac, and I really missed that feature of building apartments everywhere in City Living.
But still I have some doubts before buying, because for example I still don't know if I can really make up the tenants myself and stuff like that. It really heavily disappointed me that I couldn't have my own Sims as NPC class members in High School Living, so I hope that won't happen again (I bought that pack when it was released, so that might explain my little fear...). - I'm going to wait until I hear that it isn't riddled with serious bugs. I'm sure there will be some small ones and depending on what those end up being I might buy fairly soon after the release. Major bugs will be a hard pass until there are fixes or mods to address them.
I'm really excited for this one for the opportunity to have proper apartment living and the new world so I hope it launches without major issues.? - GlacierSnowGhostSeasoned HotshotI'm really not sure on this one. I have wanted the ability to have multiple households living on one lot, and to be able to make my own apartment buildings for a long time. But I'm not very interested in the actual tenant and landlord gameplay, and I definitely don't want the "deadly mold" thing I saw mentioned somewhere. I generally don't like gameplay where you have to keep maintaining stuff to prevent bad things from happening. It's not the way I like to play.
The world and the stuff that comes with it look nice. I would enjoy those and find uses for them. Just not sure how much I want the actual gameplay systems. So, this one goes on the "maybe, wait and see what it actually is like, and probably wait for mods as well" list. - I like the world, and the gameplay seems interesting. I really don't want to play as a landlord, but I do like the idea of multiple household residential lots. I loved that option in Sims 2 and have wanted it back ever since. I also tend to like the extra objects.
I'm holding off on pre-ordering though, or purchasing within the first ten days. Ever since we were forced to use the EA app, I've had a problem every single time when pre-ordering or purchasing a brand new expansion. The app does not recognize that I've bought the pack, and I'm unable to download the pack until it's fixed. Sometimes work arounds fix, other times I have to wait until a general fix. I end up spending a bunch of my time contacting EA Help, who are rarely any help at all. So instead of being excited for new releases, I'm anxious and apprehensive. I do not want to go through that again, you know? So I'm going to wait and see if people report whether or not the EA app is behaving, and then I'll buy the pack when it's hopefully safe to do so. - OldeSimsFanNew Traveler

Sad but true. Maybe the B&E snoop is EA's way of bringing burglars back. Now all we need is an alarm system and police to take the offender away.
