- I only play cisgender male gay couples who don't intend to reproduce. I don't play with babies unless they would be the result of something interesting like an alien abduction, a stork misdelivery, a scientific experiment with DNA gone awry, or some other fantastical/sci fi/mythological reason. Otherwise, babies are pretty much useless content for my gameplay choices.
I'd rather their energies be spent on making the game less buggy and making more interesting content that isn't already in the game. - wildirishbansheeRising NoviceYeah, I think they're fine - don't do much with babies anyway, even in S2. And frankly, I'd think them doing babies the way I would want them would be too much work for this game, maybe something to keep in mind with S5. Like toddlers, only smaller.
- FriendlySimmersNew TravelerI do not see the use to update the baby in sims4 I mostly do not play them and if I went my sim to have a family I chose the adoption option and skip the pregnancy part
- Honestly the addition of toddlers was enough for me. The infant stage is simple but for a good reason; You bond with babies, feed them, and change them. I guess people want to be able to dress them, walk around with them, etc., but those are features that I personally find no interest in having added to my game. Toddlers provide plenty of interactive gameplay in my opinion. I'm definitely more interested in having new content than expanding on something that, to me, is fine the way it is currently (which I understand is NOT the popular opinion lol).
However I will say, more crib options would be great. - A definite no to babies. I don't understand why people are so die-hard for a baby update. They don't offer any interesting thing to the game, other than to wake up your Sims by crying or pooping. Like real babies, there really isn't interactivity with them because you can't teach babies anything, you can't really communicate with them, they don't really exhibit a personality, and they're just noisy body fluid machines until they become toddlers.
I think toddlers are perfect for the super young Sims, because they ARE at the stage where you can begin communicating, teaching, and shaping their lives, and their personalities actually start to show through quite vividly. I just see no appeal to the baby stage that would make them worth expanding on, because it only exists as a way to get a new Sim from the womb to toddler. - Sure the babies are cool and all and they need more interactions and you should be able to hold your baby and take the baby out of the crib and walk around with it and an update on babies is definitely overdue. No disrespect but I personally don't care enough about the babies right now to want to have to do more with them. Taking care of an adult sim is task enough for me bc their needs drop harder than a bass drop.
- I don’t care for babies currently but that’s only because there’s no meaningful gameplay. I’d like if we had babies that go from infants to maybe 6-9month olds then toddlers.
I’d like babies not be tied to cribs either, so they can travel with our sims in a stroller. Two-three different types maybe.
Onsies, not too much hair but maybe a curl or two? Different skin tones. Just something that makes your baby different from say…your neighbors lol. - I really want better babies. I am a family player to the core, and I just love cute things... so yeah. Although, i do see why it'd be kind of pointless if you're playing on normal lifespan, which I do sometimes. So maybe, I'm more 90% there on the better babies XD

Have you spent a lot of time around babies? Because all of that was untrue. You do teach babies things, you don't just suddenly start learning at 2 or 3. And babies do have personalities that develop over time, all throughout your life your personality develops. - there's not really alot you can do with babies, I think the game got the basics covered with those buggers.
But I would like to see them make toddlers-teens a priority.
It feels like the game solely wants us to focus on the adult aspect of the game. I miss having extra clubs and choice interactions for children and teens like there was in sim 2-3.. plus I feel like there's a lack of NPC options for them.. Like when I try to make a playdate and you have to know the toddler first, but I rarely have toddler spawns and my kid cant meet other toddlers at daycare.. so I dont know, there are alot of missing spots that I feel they should've filled by now.
