@rockabillyme Pull *everything* out of Mods, do a Game Repair in Origin, delete the file called localthumbcache, and test the game like that. If the game works with no mods or CC, add them in in very small batches. If you are on the Legacy edition, don't include anything you downloaded after November (if I'm remembering the Legacy date right). Make sure a new batch is in its own folder in Mods. Call it "test" or something like that.

Tumblr managed to delete LittleMsSam's blog there for some reason, so it's currently unavailable. For faster-than-me updates on her status, follow her on Twitter (or bookmark her account to check regularly) or join her Discord server. (Apologies for not including a Discord invite link -- the link generation didn't work for me. Will try again later.)
In better news, SimFileShare is back up, to some extent. If you find it slow, that could just be volume of usage. Personally, I'm still getting occasional download errors, so postponing more CC hunting. :(
